Join the new world

A key reason why WeThePeople selects Congress candidates via primary instead of PP picks is the activity that comes about from the inclusiveness and hardwork it embodies. As it is every month, that activity was shown off in full.

In total, we got our Congress hopefuls to write nine articles, put out numerous shouts and we had 40 ballots cast. I've always been a fan of activity like this; The kind that doesn't have to come about because of a heavy top-down leadership, but rather, activity that comes through continuing community interaction. I must thank everyone who cast a ballot, shouted, campaigned and artikled in the primaries this month. While I had my doubts for more than a little bit about the quality of this primary, I'm personally satisfied with how the results came about.


Without further ado, I'd like to congratulate WeThePeople's new Congressmen for the month of July:

In terms of how WTP performed compared to last month, the numbers were seemingly not fantastic. We dropped to 9 Congressmen from 11 from the last month. However, in terms of real vote WTP lost only about 10 votes

So, why did the party drop so hard in Congressmen? On one hand, that's thanks to a resurgent AMP that has been very media active and has a very well know Party President at the moment (A fact that's now displayed on the ballot). USWP too did better in their performance, gaining major ground on the formerly far-ahead Federalists. BSP's vote decreased as well.

Congress elections weren't an overt priority of my term. In terms of improvement in the next month, I take away from this that WTP needs to continue strengthing its base through many of the goals I outlined in the last article and renewing media efforts. I mean, if you only read the first two paragraphs of this you can tell we're pretty awesome. The challenge, is getting the nation, and maybe even the base, to see just how awesome we are.

I'd love to give a shoutout to every Cabinet member individually, but they've all done so much over 10 days that I'm bound to miss something. I'm sure I can work some into my next article.


Stage one of this term was building a real, functioning Cabinet. That's been done brilliantly well, if I do say so myself; Average PPDB activity is about 103 replies over 10 days, 9 PPDBs in all. But really, f**k the numbers for a sec- We're doing quality work with quality people. There is no better feeling than that.

Stage two was handling Congress primaries while juggling exams; As shown above, that was done pretty well too. Shoutouts to the entire Cab for their work with the primaries!

So, after the first 10 days how well are we progressing to all of our 10 goals?
