So they did it. The rumors have been that Spain was looking to start a war. The target was not decided but now it has been.

Ever since we have been working hard on what to do. We have started a NE vote against them but have asked the members of our congress to hold their votes to make sure that their vote goes through before we start voting it up. That does not mean that we do not prepare for an attack, we will be hitting back hard if they decide to come at us.
We need YOUR help
To get through this we will need a lot of help from all of our citizens. We need you to be active with voting the DoD orders up to keep it on top 5 at all times so that orders can be seen at all times. If we are active and work together things will be a lot easier.
We need you to make sure you hit on target so that no damage gets wasted. The orders will be kept up to date as much as possible.

Pretty much yes. They are also weaker and less disciplined than Poland. And we got a few things up the sleeves that will make an appearance later.

I have to agree with many of the comments here. Our focus should be on eradicating our Polish problem and not on the Spanish. Poland has been a thorn in our side for months now and with their current path threatening to wipe us yet again. If our Canadian bros are offering to help deal with the Spanish, let them hold 'em off until we can gain ground with the Polish threat at hand. It seems more and more we are trying to handle everything on our own from protecting the homeland to protecting our allies in foreign land. Isn't it about time all that should be reversed?
We have allies? It seems our alliance isn't strong enough to handle what has been thrown at us, perhaps a diplomatic solution can be found. It seems like every major power out there has a grudge against us for some reason.
The thing is, if we let Spain get into our regions as well we will have a harder time to get them back. The more enemies on our regions, the harder it is to push it all back. We just got initiative back from Poland in:

But if we don't win once more against them our congress is in great danger. Spain is a lot weaker than Poland is, and a lot less organized. I know it all seems really weird, but in the coming days you'll see why we decided to do this.
Canada could not even win an RW against Spain so forget our NE holding them back. The US should of helped Canada the day Spain invaded Canada and we would not of lost half our population.

Exactly how could we hand them the initiative when they started their NE before us? Holding votes does not "hand them initiative". Sometimes rogues starts NEs, we wanted to make sure it wasn't a rogue group before we started voting. Our vote passed unless you've seen.
By not being 'up on the wheel' and have enough brains to realize that Spain -probably at the request of Serbia- after months of domination over Canada just suddenly isn't going to let them up, smart enough to see that Spain was loading up getting ready to help their friend Poland by attacking America; by not starting a NE Law before Spain....
