[PA] Lack of equity - Why real democracy and diplomacy are just illusions

Day 2,131, 04:06 Published in Germany Germany by djnewdream

Inspired by this article, I decided to make some noise about other important stuff that might find some open ears too. In eGermany - better known as eGermark - we have some problems that every minor nation shares with us. We are constantly losing our power potential in eRepublik. Reasons for that are almost clear, although they are not a fault of each respective national government but Plato. Many players are quitting the game, a main problem that causes a lot of new challenges for democratic states and instantly reduces the potential of every state - especially of minor ones. There could be an argument that says: Every state has its own responsibility for new babies. Damn those unholy condoms and so on. But as far as I know, a lot of people(s) would agree with the following statement that there is no real possibility to get new players or building "minor states" to "biggest state in the world". Well thats because Plato likes money and smiling. Smiling because its not of his concerns if there is a possibility for real democracy or diplomacy at all - or in last instance: Equity. If the game wouldnt just work as something like a enormous battlefield, we could think of a lot of points that would make this game more realistic. Well yeah those, who like fighting at "realistic" battlefields and give a milk for BF3, will even these days join your country as a new citizen to fight for misterious glory and honor.

It seems like minor nations are stuck in a really uncomfortable situation. Plato is not in the mood to make changes and minor nations power disappears day after day. But the good thing about this special relationship between Plato and us is: We have a lot of more brains, the faking money he wants and sometimes good ideas. Speaking of which, eGermark started with a very good idea, decided to start a union with Denmark. This is for me personally amazing. Well the last two sentences were quite short, but beware the content is very big and important stuff and honors both sides a lot. Everyone should get eyes close to this case, because it might be a solution for future challenges.

Although Plato made some "funny" tournaments that makes you feel proud for 5 Minutes (and makes you feel embarrassed whole day) that helps minor nations with shields, this so called "help" is 1. just useless 2. just an intervention and doesnt get down to the root of the trouble 3. just for military sector. Ye, now Alliances are "official" be able to join and thats our so called diplomacy for now. But what kind of diplomacy you do but trying to safe minor nations not to be invisible on map or break into others houses to steal their pockets empty? Sure, the congress can vote for or against it - political feat. And yes, minor nations get PTOed for some misuse by bigger nations - but dont tell me thats modern at all.

eRepublik (and also eGermark) seems to get old. And also intellectually behind the times. Thats because there are no modern ideas to solve main problems of the future. Well I could imagine of diplomacy without borders, realistic diplomacy as you can see it for example in the EU. Monarchists become more and more, Filz too. Well you want a real challenge? Give a solution to things like that. I dont give a milk on fighting, because it stinks and doesnt solve problems. You want to change something for your nation, for your neighbours and Europe? Then try to break free from this military chains you unconsciously wear, all thoughts should be focused transnational, neighbour-centred and besides of these so called "military (defense) alliance".

If you want to prolong the death of minor states and nations like "eGermark", try to focus your mind on the right things that hold out sustainable solutions within the realms of possibility. Forget borders, modern diplomacy works totally different - but Plato is a senile for sure, there is no reason to join his decay.

Platos even more senile Mum and Dad. And Illusions.

In this case, the main questions you should ask yourself now is:
"Do we really have real democracy and diplomacy at all in eRepublik? And is it worth how its now?"
