[MoHA] You and the Media: A Guide
eUK Home Office
Without further ado I present a guide to eRepublic media etiquette.
What the @#%*?
In the lower left hand side of your browser you’ll find your news feed. Within this there are three tabs – top rated, latest and international.
Now for many this is something that has never been explored. It is a section of the game that is ignored as it holds no fruitful rewards.
STOP!
This is not so! For this mild annoyance at the bottom of your browser is actually your gateway to the eWorld.
If you click on one of the newspaper article headlines
You’ll be magically transported to said article. At this point, you dear reader will have to engage with said article and read it. This is phase one complete.
Now the science part.
Once you’ve thoroughly read the article you can do three things depending on your reaction to the content.
If the article was really good or indeed an official government article then the box at the top of the article marked “vote” is for you.
By clicking “vote” the tally of votes will increase. The more votes an article receives the better chance there is of it becoming a “top rated” piece of media. This also means that more people will see it.
Now the other thing to do, whether you like an article or not, is to leave a comment.
The comment box is located at the bottom of an article
This is your chance to express your opinion. If you didn’t agree with the content, tell the author. Likewise, if you’re besotted by the article and think it’s the best thing since my last article- tell the author.
Oh and if an article is not to your liking try and be constructive in your critique – its so easy to become a Troll and you dear reader are better than that.
Finally before we move onto our advanced steps, if you like the content of the paper or it’s an official Government or Party paper then use the button in the top left of the article and subscribe.
This way whenever a new article is released you’ll be informed in your subscriptions feed ( that little green thing in the side panel on the left of your screen)
Advanced Media Etiquette
There is one final thing you can do if you really like an article and it helps so much.
SHOUT!
You have a shout box –use it. Copy the article link in there and let all your friends know about it.
Right I hope that helps.
Now some sad news, this will be the last Graham Fortune interview. Graham has decided to leave the game for various reasons. I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank him for his excellent work in the media department. Your a top bloke and you'll be hard to replace.
Here is his interview with UK's finest
What originally attracted you to erepublik?
It sounds daft but nothing attracted me, I typed 'strategy games' into google when I was bored before summer started, and I have stuck around. I'm not really sure why I'm still here, the only thing I can think of is I am very competitive and I want to be the best and do the most for my country.
Did you encounter any specific difficulties early on, how did you resolve them, and what help (if any) did you receive?
I bought a company with my citizen account and someone called Ifc23 explained to me that this was not a good idea, apart from that I recieved no advice. The only other advice I recieved was from Craig Rossiter who persuaded me to run for congress about 4 months ago, at first I turned down the offer, but look at me now
What would you consider to be the particular milestones of your time on erepublik?
Simply, each of my in game medals, and each position I have taken in the London Council and the United Kingdom Reform Party.
What roles/positions do you currently fulfill, and what do they involve?
I am currently Chairman of the London Regional Council, as well as the Health Councillor, congress member, as well as some uber-secret UKRP roles.
- In the chairman role I look over the goings on in London and the London Council.
- In the health position I heal all Londoners under 40 health that come to the London forum
- Most people understand the role of congress members, but for those that don't I represent the people of London's views in congress and try to act in the interests of the eUK.
What advice would you give to new citizens just starting out?
My advice to new players is... Be proud of your eNation, and give this pretty meaningless game some time to grow on you
Ok that's all from me- go out and vote tomorrow.

Lol, great guide. Out of interest though, the people this is aimed at may never even read this lol...
lol. i like the sarcasm.
Lol, not sarcastic - i legitimately think this to be a great guide. i just see a slight flaw is all.
Not Quite As One - yeah I see the floor too. Hopefully the next MoHA pm campaign will include links to all our new player guides.
Just having them all in the official paper is a good starting point.
