Hungary: Sweet, Sweet Tears
Despite possessing a record-setting high of 5 Resistance War drain possibilities, 2 battle-ready nations on their border, and all of Sirius + Aurora facing off against Hungary head first, the Hungarian government thought it would be a good idea to push through Italy, risking confrontation with Chile.
Evidently, this has proven to be a foolhardy move. Thanks to an early NE timing slip-up on the part of the Hungarians, Chile gained the early initiative in this war. Even worse, what appeared to be various Hun attempts to escape the Chileans failed horribly, with Italy expanding well into France and taking the Huns with them (via the auto-attacks from the Hungarians that result as long as Italy is on the map).
With the targets perfectly lined up, the combined forces of Sirius + Aurora launched a crushing attack on the Hungarian-occupied region of Tyrol. At the same time, drains were started in Styria, Siveria, Veneto, and the important oil region of North Caucasus. Every battle was lost thanks to allied forces, save NC--important, since getting the oil back would require a lengthy war with Russia.
At the same time, Poland and Bulgaria passed Natural Enemy laws against the Hungarians. Both nations are primed to crush the Huns, especially Bulgaria (due to it having no drains and a nice pact with Romania, Greece, and Serbia declaring non-aggression).
Now, Hungary is suffering attacks from Poland in Central Slovakia (76-1), Bulgaria in the 20%+ weapons production region of Taurida (55-0), Chile in Salzburg (33-0), and drains in Ukraine, Slovakia and Italy.
Basically, they’re f**ked and could very well be wiped. The only saving grace the Huns have now is an attempt to cut off a border with the Chileans by losing this RW in Austria: a failing attempt at the moment (41-14). Even better is that they’re now rage-quitting Asteria because Romania wasn’t willing to break their pact with Bulgaria. That means that Asteria has lost a founding member in little more than a month. Good day, Sirius. Good day.

Party President Elections
Party President elections have concluded, and the results are in--Valiant Thor will be the next Party President of WeThePeople!
Valiant Thor bested dmjohnston in a tight race that was decided in the final few hours of polling. The People were fortunate to have two capable candidates this month and hope that this month’s race foreshadows more of like these to come.
Unless you’ve already volunteered to aid the Anti-political Take Over efforts, make sure to vote for Valiant Thor in-game!
State of affairs in the good ol' eUSA
As we wage war and continue to fight in various fronts, We The People can’t help but recognize how far we’ve come since coming back from a wipe at the hands of TWO. The eUS was facing dire straits with a declining economy, community, and population. As we built ourselves back up, we bided our time, waiting for the inevitable dissolution of TWO. When that time finally came, we followed steady foreign affairs and prudent military leadership through the shifting global landscape to a founding membership in Sirius, standing opposite our constant enemy, Serbia.
Unfortunately, our northern neighbors did not take the same path and felt it necessary to pointlessly declare war against the eUK. It can be assumed that a similar necessity drove Canada to sign an MPP with Serbia, though some allege that it was the failure of the eUS to break its known foreign affairs commitments and aid Canada that forced the choice upon them. While we cannot dictate Canadian foreign policy, other than making them MPP our nemesis, we should recognize the Canada-Serbia MPP as a threat that must be addressed.

Mo’ money talk
As you saw last week, Mazzy Cat and WeThePeople are looking to get a bit more active with making our treasury benefit We The People. What she didn’t mention is that she is also considering stepping down as our party’s treasurer. As a result, we’ll need to choose a new treasurer, and we’re interested in hearing who you think might be the responsible individual WeThePeople should trust with its money.

Dude, about Hungary i guess so u missed one important fact, and that was them leaving Asteria. that does not mean that they would have won every battle but yes. Many Asterians found that disgraceful..........and did not fight for them.
"...we should recognize the Canada-Serbia MPP as a threat that must be addressed"
Explain please. Why is an MPP a threat? How, exactly, is the eUSA threatened by a much weaker country having an MPP with eSerbia when (I remind you) eSerbia stood at the doorstep of the eUSA by occupying Aquitaine for months. How does a border with a country with an MPP with eSerbia worse than an actual border with eSerbia? I keep hearing eUSA regurgitating "OMG eCanada has an MPP with eSerbia, we can't have that" but never stopping to analyze why they make that statement.
In a game where airstrikes render borders meaningless, in a game where your "mortal" enemy shared an actual land border (which, again, is not needed to attack), in a game where one-on-one eUSA crushes one-third-its-size eCanada, why is the MPP itself the casus belli?
This is not a rhetorical question.
I just need one person who makes the statement to answer it. So far: 0.
A damned good question, sir.
It was done as an eff you and a direct threat towards us for refusing to break our commitments to save them from their self induced poor situation.
Keep pretending that. We think it's hilarious.
There were two possible avenues for us to take in order to stay alive. One avenue was denied to us for whatever reason, so we took the other. It had nothing to do with thumbing our nose at Murika. Spain paid us back for our mistake and called the debt paid. Murika pretended to take it personally so they could join in on the fun. Nobody threatened you, ever. Silly person.
"While we cannot dictate Canadian foreign policy, other than making them MPP our nemesis, we should recognize the Canada-Serbia MPP as a threat that must be addressed."
I am not surprised to hear your government still ringing this ridiculous bell. Both sides are perfectly well aware that it's a war of easy, cheap victories against a much weaker enemy, and securing resource bonuses. Unfortunately, there are not many other middleweight fighters in the eworld, so you keep hammering the same smaller anvils over and over and over - Canada, France, Japan. That way you can pretend to be big and important and keep your glorious swagger. Good on you.
If you really want Serbian blood, go fight Serbia. You're in Europe now, they are right next door. Take a lesson or two from us and pick a fight with a bigger enemy.
I'm not calling for an end to the war by any means. You poor people need the ego boost, and eCanada needs to keep from getting bored so we don't go declaring war on eUK again. Really, all we're asking for is transparency. Cut the crap and tell your people the truth. And keep the fight going. We're all having a grand old time killing one another.
"I am not surprised to hear your government still ringing this ridiculous bell"
You do realize that this is a party publication, not that of the national government.
The fellow who wrote that bit was a part of Wild Owl's cabinet when the war was originally declared, silly. Lrn2history.
Also, "Take a lesson or two from us and pick a fight with a bigger enemy." That would be like learning Karate from Tinkerbell
Oooooo, rush me to the burn unit.
I don't mean we would teach you to fight. I mean you could stand to take risks instead of opting for the lazy guaranteed wins.
Same thing. Learning how to take risks from you is like learning how to play cards from a beggar.
