[HoL] The Thin End of the Wedge
Arthur Wellesley
As I have been getting into the habit of writing articles regarding the progress of the fight over the House of Lords, I felt it to be necessary to speak to you again tonight.
I am pleased to well that the newly re-energized and active membership of the House of Lords seems to be making progress. The vote in the House of Commons on repeal is currently 12 in favor of repeal, 10 against. Compared to the first reading, this is a very solid improvement.
Do you support the House of Lords? My newspaper, and "Your Lordships Opinions" (the official Newspaper of the House of Lords) are full of arguments for the continuation of the House of Lords. If you support us, I encourage you to contact your Members of Parliament and encourage them to vote against repealing the House of Lords! Your duty as citizens of the eUnited Kingdom is to be active and informed participators in the political process, and it is the opinion of this well-seasoned Lord that continuing to work with the House of Lords is the best option for the eUnted Kingdom. Save the Lords!

Then filter down on which region.
Sooner we can get rid of the HoL and get focused on something IMPORTANT the better
Yeah something IMPORTANT like what we will have to replace them with... probably something exactly the same. Am I right? or are YOU undemocratic?
HoL is an unrepresentative bunch of loons who get off by talking about nonsense and pretending it matters. It's an out of game elitist talkshop that is so far up it's own rectum it needs a torch to see where it if going.
Long mAY it continue.
If it takes a 66% majority to eliminate a branch of our military, surely it should take the same majority to eliminate a branch of our government ?!
cheers roadrunner.

IT HAS BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN ZOMG
The newly re-energised House of Lords only had three votes on the the last bill that they didn't need to vote on to save their skins.
Arthur, as i asked before in a previous article, dont you think alot more can be done with people like you in congress rather than in the HoL?
I know you will say some lords are persuing military careers but its their choice to be in the military. Being in the military or in politics requires 100% dedication, we dont need distracted people making the big decisions, we need the guys who really have put alot of thought into it.
Rather than bickering about who is elitest and what not, how about we all grow up and do something that is good for our country?
If there is a better system to do the job of the HoL then it cant be a bad thing.
The Lords are the people who been around trhe block and have seen it all before. They can guess pretty well what the result of any government decision will be, particularly since a lot of the commons members change continuously.
I think that guys like Arthur & Kumnaa who've been in game for a while and run a few important organs like the Bank of England need to be involved in the political processes regardless of whether they've been voted in like us plebian Congress members.
Perhaps a formal House of Lords arrangement gives an elitist impression, but I think that the eUk would be poorer off if they were not given a role within the daily governance of the state, albeit an entirely advisory one.
Some of the anti-HoL rhetoric seems to be a bit too influenced by Real Life opinions for my liking, and should perhaps remember IJAG (it's just a game)! Arthur (probably) isn't an ermine clad fox-hunter.
Lemuel they are barely involved, they just tell congress if theres a problem. That can be done by them getting into HoC and helping out there.
down with the lords! if members of the lords are good people, with useful skills then they can run for the commons like everyone else. we should NOT have unelected people running our country/
hang them all 😉
