Greetings Feds and friends, I hope this week finds you well. It is I, the illustrious Trekker Tlumac. And I am coming to you yet again, with another installment of the Federalist Press. Been a cold week for me, I have the head cold to prove it. I live way up north under a rather cold pine tree and the 50 year old furnace in my basement decided that Friday evening was the perfect time to die. I was not able to get it fixed until Monday, the temperatures were below zero (Fahrenheit), and I had no other means to heat the house.

So I spent most of the weekend in hibernation mode underneath a pile of blankets, with short reprieves visiting relatives. They warmly offered to unthaw me from time to time. But for anyone who has never had to deal with it, when it gets cold out, pipes have a nasty habit of freezing. Pipes freezing are very bad, or at least they can be. So I did not just stay with relatives all weekend as I should have. I had to make sure I was there to run the water every few hours. Also, my relatives do not have internet…



State of the Fed

Congress elections were this past week. The fed had a strong showing, collecting 29.82% of the vote. This turns into seventeen congressional members for the party.  The Fed Congressional members are as follows:

THE FEDS SPECIAL LUCKY LOTTO

The game changes this week. There will be 4 winning numbers this time and more you get right higher the reward will be.

It is simmple as it is. You still can have 2 sets of 5-5 number as before and from the 2 set of numbers will count the higher paying one as valid.

So, how is it going to go? Simple if the licky numbers will be 25, 52, 77, 55
and someone has a set of numbers like 25, 30, 52, 55, 77 so he/she gets all the numbers right in 1 set then we pay 200$.

If you get 1 number right we pay you 50$
If you get 2 numbers right we pay you 100$
If you get 3 numbers right we pay you 150$
And if you get every number right all 4 of them your reward will be 200$.

We are rewarding even the people who gets close to the wining number and in that case if you are off by 1 or 2 number the reward will be 30$ for each number you get close. So if the number will be 55 and you have 53 you earn 30$.

In this case:
If you get close to 1 number you earn 30$
If you get close to 2 numbers you earn 60$
If you get close to 3 numbers you earn 90$
And if you get close to all 4 numbers you get 120$

This event will be a forums only special event. Every player who participates will get a guaranteed 20$. You have time to participate till the end of next friday 31. january.

State of the Country

Country Presidential Elections are less than a week away. At the time of this printing the only candidate to seek Fed backing is the sitting President, Wild Owl.

Wild Owl has been given the official Fed endorsement. This is based on the merit of his performance during his first term, as well as maintaining stability during the changing political climate of the eWorld. As the whole, Wild Owl has continued to fulfill his promise of media activity, including a Day 21 address to the people as well as a update from yesterday that states his intention nationally for re-election and his goals for the next term.

Those goals include furthering the bonuses to 10/10. If this can be accomplished in the next month it will be the first time eUSA will have held full bonuses in a long time. As it is the eUSA is up to 10/8 since Wild Owl took office from the 6/6 the eUSA held before.

Also mentioned is the continued evolution of eUSA’s foreign affairs. These include the signing of a number of important MPPs and jockeying to better position the eUSA in a favorable light in the eWorld.

The dissolving of Rogue Squadron and the further streamlining of the USAF were also mentioned.

Congressional elections have just taken place as previously mention in the State of the Fed section. In all, the eUSA have 57 congressional members serving this term. This includes the 17 feds already mentioned, but also 13 members from USWP, 10 from AMP, 9 from WTP, and 8 from LAP.

A total of 916 votes very cast to get these results. A warm welcome to the 74th congress of the eUSA, may they function within their duties to the best of their abilities. The nominations for the Speaker of the House are currently under way.

The Brothers In Arms competition is up and running. It was announced over the weekend and started up after weekly reset during the transition from Monday to Tuesday. It will run the full week and is a damage competition. This applies on two levels; damage per MU, which is ranked on the national level and then damage per regiment, which is ranked on the international level.

Prior to the announcement the Plato locked all stats in place. That means that all stats collected apply to the MUs as they were before the announcement.  This means that all fighting damage will count for the same Division that the fighter was in at the start of the lock, even if they move up in levels to a new division. It also means that there can be no regiment stacking. So this tournament favors regiments that were already naturally strong.

Without question this has caused some backlash from angry MUs that demanded the chance to stack their regiments. It is a demand that Plato did not adhere to.

How many really complained is subject to debate, but there was definitely activity on the eRep forum complaining about the inability to move people around for it.



In the past week the eUSA has signed MPPs with eMexico, eSpain, and ePoland. As well as a Natural Enemy status against eJapan and most recently against ePortugal.



State of the World

As stated before, the Brothers in Arms tournament is currently under way. The tournament will run for the next several days (until the weekly reset). The eUSA is hoping to place some of its more elite regiments in the top 100 in the world. The top 100 will be given special designation as elite regiments and the top 25 will gain other prizes as well. There will be an update next week on the results of the tournament.



State of my Gold

Well for the second week in a row, Konoha no Kiiro Senko is the winner of my gold. I was not expecting a repeat so early on in the process. But Random.org gave me the number 3 and he is the third entry. So congrats to him and thanks to all of you for being involved in the contest, with a special thanks to everyone that read the requirements for the extra entries and commented accordingly. I hope you all try again this week. Spread the word too.

Okay well this week I have an idea. I am a total geek. Well, that is not the idea. My geek status is more of origin story for this current State of my Gold entry. The fact remains is that it is true. To anyone that has ever spoken to me, that is abundantly clear. To anyone that has seriously read the Fed Paper as of late, probably have suspicions. I know I would. And to anyone who actually finds this as news, trust me on this one; my geek flag flies super high and unabashedly.

So… Being as I am a geek and I like encouraging all people to be so, this week’s extra entries come from the fandom of your choice. Tell me something that you are passionate about. Well my mind is still a little scattered, per the norm. Been a rather stressful week and it is promising to continue down that path. But that is life. Each of us is dealt a hand of adversity every day. That is the human condition, challenges and survival. Each new day brings a new set of things to overcome. Triumph is, in the end, the only option.

So I shall preserve, we all will. We will continue to do so for as long as it takes. There is no other option. For every single day of existence, each of us is a survivor. This is not a bad thing. Surviving is often stigmatized. It is regularly associated with something having to be wrong to spur that survival.

That is not how I see the world. It has never been how I see the world. Surviving, to me, merely means that I am here still today after waking up from yesterday’s rest. It is the base state of being. That is in and of itself something special. So I suppose we should treat it as such and celebrate each day.

I fail at this often enough. But that is the wonderful thing about life, each day is a fresh start.

Have a great idea about how to make the country a better place? Not sure where to turn? Contact a congressional member. Party should not matter. But the point is, make your voice heard.  The country needs active citizens.
