HOW TO MAKE THE GAME PLAYABLE?

A lot of you have read my previous article about the game's issues, and it has recieved a lot of positive (and one or two negative) comments. It was good to see there are people who actually care about this game, and I was wondering how many oldschool strong players agreed to my point that new players have no chance to play this game, or even if they do, they can't effect anything.
I have been thinking a lot since then, and I've decided to come up with actual ideas instead of crying, and write the very first serious article in my erepublik life.

When I've registered to the game, I'm not going to lie: I was lost instantly. It might be just me, but I looked around and saw: politics, war, elections, houses, factories, WHAT TO DO FIRST?!
Main structure of the commune system:
• New players HAVE TO join a Military Unit, and its commune
• New players in the first 3 months can only work for the commune, after that they can decide if they want to leave, or stay
• Communes have leveling system - The higher level the player is, the more equipment/salary they recieve
• The leader of the commune has to be an experienced player, nominated by the Commander (if it is not the Commander)
• It is the commune leader's job to figure out how many resources to give the players on their levels
• The commune has to have a chat where new players can ask for experienced players' help
I think it would help new players a lot. They would have at least one experienced player to help them (via chat), enjoy the game's social part, get friends, and they would see a progress by leveling up.
The main reason of this idea is simply: new players can't deal damage. Obviously players who play for 10 years should have a lot of advantages over new players, but you have to give a chance to new players to... Do stuff in the game?
Main structure of Division 0:
• Only players with less than 2 years old account can fight in Division 0
• Only players with less than 10,000 strenght can fight in Division 0
• With Division 0, there would be 5 divisions: each one's influence on the battle is 20%
• Players using multiple account to fight in Division 0 will have all their accounts banned
• You can't use Maverick Pack to fight in Division 0
Division 0 would give new players a real sense of achievement, without Maverick Pack users ruining the battles for them. It would not effect MP users a lot either, because they will still have Division 1 to destroy player's joys and dreams.
Last but not least, something for the old players! Stock market!
Basic structure of the stock market:
• Stock market is owned by Plato
• At the start, there should be 10 companies, each company releasing 100,000 stocks, at the price of 500 CC
• A player can own maximum 100 stocks at a time
• Companies stop selling stocks 30 days after releasing them
• Actual stock prices are generated by a random generator, changing every 2 hours, moving the prices between 200 CC and 800 CC
Selling stocks:
• Players have no time or quantity limits of selling stocks
• It doesn't cost the players to create offers on the stock market
• Players can only put stocks on sale at the current stock prices
When the prices of stocks are changing (every 2 hours), all offers from the market are getting removed, and players can make new offers on the current prices
• Transfer fee of selling ONE stock is 5 CC
Buying stocks:
• Players have no time limit to buy stocks, but the maximum amount they can own is 100
• Transfer fee of buying ONE stock is 5 CC
Advantages:
• It is Plato's decision if he is willing to pay dividends at the end of every week
• The amount of dividends would depend on the collected transfer fees of the week, but cannot exceed 10 CC per stock
(It is necessary to keep the cash flow, because if there is no action on the market, there is no dividend, so there is no point storing stocks and wait for the weekly free money.)
I think it would be nice to have these in the game, and I can't wait to read your opinions.

stop cry about MP, im talk with many IK and everyone said to me: MP is for us better bussiness, because we can sell hits, so i really i dont understand what is problem here again and again...

basic question my frien😛 who care? if dont care plato so every ideas are uselessly
if plato want do this game better so exist one normal logic way: TALK WITH PLAYERS
for example talk with country leaders, with ranking leaders, or with top buyers etc
im sure this crew of players will have always many ideas how do this game better...
but plato dont care...

The game have a lot of flaws ... but this two above are true "instant game killers".
As far as I remember ... there is game forum ... I hope that in future you'll post such ridiculous suggestions there.

Step #1 - Pay Plato
That's why packs won't be removed - they make money.
They expect you to spend loadsa dosh and then as you move up spend even more. It's kinda addictive after a while, but I have not spent a brass farthing here because if I cannot own my territory or my publishing then no money spent, simples.
There should be the zero division for new players. I have no problem with packs but its silly that they can roam among those who just started the game. That will of course hurt their ego 😃 .

I quess I´m making some new "friends" here with the exception they´re considering me as d**khead..
But still, I respect the one´s who´re providing any suggestion to improve this game. And so far as I don´t have any better ideas nor explanation why some ideas might not work I´ll keep my mouth shut.

The all problems that you mention here have 2-step simple solution:
1. Remove the Maverick pack entirely (also knows as "new accounts killer").
2. Forbid communities and eradicate MU's and player accounts that offer that."extras".
Why? It's simple:
Every new player can work for 500+CC. For what nonsense every new player must enter the commune? MU slavery?

It's not slavery. MU members could help the new players with other resources and with answering their questions. None of the new players will get ANY help by ANYONE if they are not getting offered. And trust me, 90% of the news' first thing won't be making friends or find out how the game works. They just want to play and have fun. And since they won't see any entertainment value in the game, they just leave.
Tell this to someone rookie mate 🙂 This "entertainment" and "help" simply is almost free work for nothing.
Put a min wage next to the items then. Poof. Problem solved. It's kinda sad that you are trying to be the most pessimist you can be. I made this article to share ideas that could make the new players ACTUALLY STAY and don't leave after realizing they can't do anything in two days.
Your mentality is awful, if you think I put effort into this whole thing because I want new players to be slaves of MU's, there's something wrong with you.
As a new player I 100% with Cirkaloo. This is not really a "casual" game. It takes some investment. You get out of it only what you put in. If you are new player in the eUSA feel free to join USAF. We are a new MU of specifically newer players and help each other out...
A stock market. Well there is something similar like that in e sim.
First they used it in the game called "real life", but don't tell anyone. 🙂

This commune slavery does not work with this current equal work skill crap. There used to be work skill and levels, you were able to put job offers for certain skill level and at one point even different professions.
There used to be many things, like every country had their own monetary market and real currency. I suppose lack of players forced to do this ultimate globalization update. Everything in one big bucket.
There were organizations to run your companies with... oh boy. So many good memories.
I even loved V2. But it was killed after HUGE protests by oldest players. Many spent a year or so learning BETA... NO interest in having to learn something new. I, too LOVED orgs! ...but apparently, easily hacked.
Good article, Cirkaloo. Your commune idea is very similar to a concept I'm developing for use in the eUSA. I was/am going to propose a coupling of player companies with MUs called "cadres", I think making combined economic-military cells would increase stabilty, military power, and a sustained development environment for newer players.
Good stuff. I just have a (minor) quibble with how the term "commune" tends to be used in eRepublik to refer, in most cases, to a low-wage collective of some kind. This is more akin to a (real-life) co-operative than to a commune, which is both rarer and more fundamentally radical.
A commune, in the sense used by Marxists and Maoists and some others, refers to something like a fully liberated zone, often conceived of in municipal terms (the Paris Commune, the Shanghai Commune), where pretty much all ranks, hierarchies are quickly being eliminated. In other words, it is a radical change in democratic participation and ownership, not simply a sacrifice (a low wage) for a common goal (group benefit).
In the modern (real) world, this kind of thing is probably expressed most clearly (that I am aware of) these days in the liberated regions and villages of Mexico, where the Zapatistas and others (often indigenous-led, often led by women) have driven out the police, the army, the narcos and the political parties in favor a more horizontal and municipal social ecology. Similar things are going on in the Rojava canton in Kurdish Syria.
I'd love to see THIS kind of alternative somehow made available in a gaming context, though I'd be hard-pressed to say how it would work within the current framework.

I had a LONG discussion with one of game developers about a project he was working on... back in V1.
Also... several players had their own... some VERY nice. The problem was they used PLAYER admins to referee contracts.... and WAY to often, settlement by RL paid employees.
I believe in VERY simple solutions... built into the mechanics.... but, BEGIN with new players being limited to a special tier of employment. Next, a coupe upgrades in pay... automatic/companies automatically raising... then ability to take any jobs on market.
For damage and ranking, they COULD use the 2 per day rockets if the damages from them were roughly doubled... plus additional three Qs like every thing else. Low ranked players need SOME hope!
In a commune workers doesn't get the market salary, and I presume what they get in return as a compensation doesn't reach the value of the market salary of which they relinquished to work in a commune (because if it would be equal or more, from the commune leader's viewpoint wouldn't make sense to run the commune). So commune workers exploit themselves giving the result of their work cheaper to the commune leaders than its market value. (BTW this is very similar to how RL socialism worked 🙂 )
