True statement. Also, if you want more gold, upgrade the main TG and the second one when the sales happen. Only train the second one if you have all the upgrades. I'm p sure you know this though but it was weird that you only have 500 strength.
There was once a time when this game had between roughly 200,000 and 300,000 Players. Lana and Work as Manager were introduced around the failure of V2, and it has gone down hill since then. Used to be quite a fun game back in the days of yore.
Man, you revive this game with your articles
I really hate such type of articles ... Why? I'll tell you why:
This game have lots of years behind her back ... you can't expect "new" players to be strong like the old ones.
Next year there will be another new born player that will want to be strong enough in no time. It's not gonna happen.
The "reward" even for low ball players like me is thie: I invest 9 years playing this game. And I MUST be a lot stronger than new born players. That's how things work.
P.S. ... basically I fight without weapons almost whole my e-life ... What are you complaining for??????
What am I complaining for? For that there is NO POINT starting the game now. If you could read, you could see that I agree with you. You should be stronger. But not like this. So basically you want to be the king of the midden sitting on your throne in an empty game, because you well deserved it with playing for 9 years. As you wish. 🙂
Yep ... I wish it that way. If you know the game world out there ... you'll know that 99% of the games have level caps, p2w all over the way, no support, etc. You may know that because their are made to suck money ... players reach the "end game" in 3-4 months, they leave after some time ... and most of the games have 1-2 e-life at most. It's very rare to find decent game that survive 4-5 years ... not to mention 10 years. Why this game is still "alive" kinda? I know the answer ... but you'll have to find it by yourself 🙂 Have fun. Play the game.
No, no, no. You've got it all wrong.
YOU, my friend, have made a mistake that you do not wish to admit. It is your fault. Furthermore, it is never late to change that mistake, but you are just to stubborn and proud to realise it.
The problem is because you started playing as a new player. Had you started playing as an old player, none of this would have mattered and you wouldn't have had any troubles that you are describing here.
= )
"BastovanSurcinski", sorry man ... but I barely understand what are you trying to say. Explain me "started playing as an old player", the "mistake" that I made, etc. Keep in mind that I play games 30 years, that I check sites for games in daily bases, that I play 6 online game simultaniously in this very moment. I know every f*cking game out there ...
TheHarvester,
Sorry, the reply was meant for Cirkaloo, but at the time I was typing my comment yours wasn't present, probably an old loading of the page.
I was actually being sarcastic, pointing out that he shouldn't had started with a fresh new account, but with an old one that he could've bought from someone, since that is, really, the only way to be strong as a new player now days.
On a separate note, I really feel sorry for you playing that many games, you must be living among pixels only...
Hehe. My work is computer related ... and when there is a lot of time to be fulfilled ... it's better to be with games that reading posts on facebook 😛
Ok, that's true.
I've been playing nearly as long as Harvester and have double his strength (and a higher rank), but I agree with Cirkaloo and think Harvester is weird for preferring a totally empty and pointless game where he gets to feel big. Esp considering he is far from being big, his strength is like he started playing in 2016.
There is only one weird thing here Avruch: Explain me why you play game that you think is empty and pointless? Why?
The short answer is, I don't really play it.
Speaking of Nation sim games, does anyone play Nationstates?
LoL Harvester this is not a complaint its a statement of fact you sure like to twist things around on people. you stat very obvious things about new and old players and that is not what he is stating in this article you should read deeper he is talking about level advancement there ARE other games that give you more bang for your buck and you dont have to spend anything. having to spend 100 dollars for a new player to compete with an old player in ONE battle is ridiculous and YOU DONT SEE IT?
Listen carefully: When the game was only 3 years old and my FF was around 10k ... one guy in a single round do 16 MILLION damage. At that time this was equal to around 12 THOUSAND f*cking real USD!!!! In a single round. Compete with that Gabriel_Horn. Back then, now, and in the future new players and players which can't spend money can't compete with that. ... ... By the way every new player in every online game want to be "Zeus" after 1 week in the game. And if the game allow that ... it dies in half a year. Like in the "The Incredibles" movie Syndrome sai😛 "Everyone can be super! And when everyone's super ... no one will be!"
HaHa this is not a competition but once or twice a year we get big bombs for free i could do the damage you stated with 3 big bombs and some q7s that pack is only 15 bucks. where you getting 12k? the problem is that you HAVE to spend money to get them why cant we earn them in game during a good battle?
You didn't get it ... right? It's equal someone to do 16 million in air battle now ... without packs, EBs, etc., etc. Back in time the refill was made with gold only ... with the 10 gold per day restriction already implemented in game. The price of gold and the number of refills he made was equal to 12 thousand real USD. He was able to win the round only by himself against all invading armies ... and preventing the wipe of his country. Of course, his country was wiped out 2 days later ... so basically it was waste of money.
I highly doubt he spent 12k on this game more likely he was working hard stockpiling weapons for that one battle.
Don’t worry mate 🙂
Plato is cooking the numbers by creating bots aka new “citizens123445” by thousands every single day to create the illusion that new players join the game.Only in Egypt Plato is creating 60-80 new bots for fun and that is why Egypt is 2nd in population at the same time in congress election voted only less than 30 active players.
The rest of the remain “active” players with packs we have becoming farmers in an endless farming golds with only TW around and no real wars:cause nobody is interesting to make real wars in a sh@t on line game.
Plato is not only a cooker. He is a bad cooker cause his food has expired and smell terrible and he is not willing to put any effort to make it great again.
-Ban the gift as a friend packs and the farming will stop.
-Escalate training like until 50.000 str you gain 500 str/day till 100.000 str you gain 400 str/day etc so the new players will be soon stronger but never as the old which is fine.
-Promote politics and journal mechanics.
-Change the prestige system and epic battles with higher damage needed.
-The change between division should be allowed to be made 8-10 times in a day.
-Choose whether to fight in air or ground battles every 12 hours.
-Limit the EB someone spends a day so battles become interesting again.
Maybe non of my proposal are correct, but at least DO something.
It is demotivating to be a new player in ER.
At the same time people that have been playing for years and/or buy packs need some advantages.
The issue I see is that the game does not provide options for active, inventive, smart players to grow faster.
If you are a player set on script and playing for years you would still have a bigger impact and probably acquire more resources for growing further than a new inventive, smart and involved player. That’s not fair
Actually, every new player should be welcomed in erep by a banner saying: "GET OUT! This is not a place for you, midget!".
It's sad to see that erep owners still don't realize the situation or if they do realize, they don't do sh*t to stop this game's painful decline. Erep is dying, nobody can deny it. There is still a healthy number of dedicated players, but that number decreases week after week. Key factors for leaving the game:
- for new players - lack of chances
- for old players - boredom
Address that OR watch erep fading away.

- Sort divisions by Strength not EXP.
- Make D1 NOT available for the Maverick Pack
- The current Maverick pack allows you to hit with the same damage as the strongest 'natural' player. Make it 50%.
- At some point re-introduce working skill. Like air rank, everyone starts at 0 so it will be a leveller and not subject to pack accelaration.
Don't make it trainable but make it advance by work clicks thereby boosting house value and even perhaps make the Tycoon Pack more of a seller if you add a work skill booster in there as well.
Make the extra work tickets you receive 'general' so that if you need X and Y to make a weapon but have no Y's then you can use the work tickets.
Let's face it - An suggestion we make HAS to make money for eRep labs!
You, sir, have said a LOTTTTT!!!
i would say, essentially... Do as you say, above... make it clear to new players that they can quickly reach job skill levels, comparable to highest recent cc.
Also make it plain that the fast strength gains will only continue for so long. Offer special packs to extend this.
As many players with 'Cirkaloo strength' levels have experienced... in today's eRep it's all about RANK... period. FOCUS on that. Target ranking. Watch it closely(usually, averages over time periods)
and btw... i doubt any decent mu doesn't have very simple free weapon programs, prob by rank and missions, special ops, etc. etc. etc......... They CAN offer troops a LOT.
The problem a lot of games have is the concept of powercreap and the fact that long term players will always outperform newer players - in terms of fighting, Plato delayed this in part by the introduction of divisions in order to separate the newer players from the older players who can win the battle singlehandedly.
There were several things that either killed the game or hastened the demise -
a) removal of domestic currency to a universal one. Before floating exchange rates meant bigger countries couldn't dump their surplus resources onto smaller once as the exchange rate would become really unfavourable. Secondly, there were a lot of players who enjoyed playing the stock market and made enough daily that they didn't need to buy gold with real money. You can understand why this would be a problem for Plato. I reckon about a quarter of the player Base back in the day played the market and largely quit when their main source of fun was removed.
b) the removal of the rule that you must be in the region of the battle to fight but you had to remain in the country that you had a job in. What used to happen if that half the population worked to make sources and pay taxes to pay the other half to be professional solders in the game. Hence a country with 10k population upon invading a country of 5k could only fight with 5k solders. Once the rule was scrapped, the invading could easily attack with a population of 10k and easily win.
The changes of these rules suddenly meant success of a country was largely dependant on its population size.
Further more, in the old days you tended to be either a solder, worker or politician and played the module that most interested you. Nowadays you can be all three in a really poor impersonation of any. The game in any ways was always rubbish but the fun came from the community and personal interaction. With various changes encouraging players to quit, new players are met with a game with a load of stale older players who are still clicking through habit and not the older dynamic and vibrant communities who gave you a reason to hang around.

My exact same opinion
1.5 Years Playing->10k Strength
Hmm...
Air Battle->6k damage
we are dying while this game became dead game
App is coming to save us!
I think MrChoby and Sale Kutuzov really spent around 90€ to reach that damage.
You make a fair comment, and I felt just like you when I was 1.5 years into the game, because there were other players who had been playing it for 3 years already and were a lot stronger.
Today, I spend about $40 a month on packs which allows me to do on food fights 70k in air battles or 300m in ground battles. This is without level up, no air weps / q7 weps and +50% booster. So, you didn't choose a good representative example for your article, but rather an extreme.
If you choose to buy the packs, just like I and many others do, you will be able to perform quite well in the weekly challenge. This is because the challenge is for hits / kills and not for damage. Each Tuesday I invest around 200 energy bars in EPIC battles which allows me to start the week with 5-6k prestige points. Then I keep fighting as much as possible and after I reach 15k PPs I have broken even. I usually finish with 20k PPs and this gives a net benefit of 150 EBs per week.
Many players spend money on this game and this doesn't make it easy for the free-to-play players. That's why those focus instead on the journalist or politics modules of the game instead.
You are right, but you have 200k strenght.
If you were a new player now, you could compete only in air rounds for at least 6-7 years even if you buy packs every month..the big problem is ground fighting, newbie can't compete forever if something does not change. And ground rounds are more important for many reasons (more points, epics, more medals, legend ranks)

Good points they shoild of created more devisions instead of clumping stronger with new players i and many others mailed then about this at the time didnt care and as for this changing divs its madness greedy madness whos gonna stay or keep fighting if someone comes along who has 100 or 1000 times more strength no more bh for new players so sad
You should get a good job and 2 houses your energy would be alot more. There is another game out there that has better level advancement and is just like this game they did a much better job on it. This game is VERY slow if thats not what you are looking for quit now! the rest is a waist of time. Warning read this fast it may get deleted because of spite.
Simple matter of fact is that they don't care. They probably know it's dying and are milking what's left of it until it no longer makes enough money.
Erep USED TO be a strategy game, where careful decisions and good knowledge of game mechanics mattered. Now it is the textbook definition of pay2win.
First, they removed the limit for health packs in battles (yes there used to be a limit back then which promoted the use of tanking-funds).
It was still a good game though, if you were careful and frugal for a few months you could make enough profitable companies to support a fairly "expensive" e-lifestyle, without relying on anyone, without spending a real-life dime or inviting people. You only needed a few (1-3) Q1 raw material companies
And then WAM was introduced. What a masterful plan! Show to the average Joe that he has the ability to make tons of in-game money without having to care about the market (spend almost 0 time to manage your companies) if they just buy a ton of companies. Needless to say, this made the raw markets crash.
Then the monetary market closed.
As for the last nail in the coffin:
The packs! Fighting packs: You know better than me how they work.
The tycoon pack. What a genius idea! Turn everyone who used companies to support their in-game habits into a subscriber! Buy the pack or watch most of your companies yield losses (because those who have the tycoon pack tend to have bought enough gold to buy enough companies to give them a high market share). Yes, I know that there are still a few companies which can still be profitable without it occasionally but that's not the point.
Rising was good but unfortunately people hated the idea of having to think and plan in a game and flash in the war module did not work well. Since then, the experience has been getting poorer and more dull and the paywalls pop more frequently.
PS. I do not call the current monetary market a monetary market. 1 Currency and Gold ? Seriously?
They tried leveling the playing ground once with Rising, even added tactics with hexagonal battlefields. Both were received the same response this article is receiving.
eRep's a good time for me and i fight at low levels, stay out of politics and still don't have Discord.( i KNOW that would make it even better... i loved irc/rizon masses and special economy chans... and more. I'm mostly just afraid i'll like Discord TOO much. Look around at my comments and other stuff. I;m on line HERE... WAY 2 much as it is. i need tools, scripts to expedite my actions, NOT slow me down.
n btw, Cirkaloo, i DO believe yur profile statement. You ARE a Hun SPY! i outta know.
You maybe want to invest some money to get your training grounds upgraded or join some MU that supports you with weapons but dont ever think that this would change anything.
Im playing this game for 9 years now and even i cant influence a battle. Im all for making it easier for newer players but even with 200k strength you wont make it far without spending money.
OK so you can fight 2 times a day and i can fight 5 times a day but that also only takes me to something like 10k air or 30 million land damage in a battle which is literally nothing.
There will always be some people that spend alot of money on this game and this wont ever change.
Ι've been around for far too long. I don't expect to do battle-decisive damage myself any time soon. But that's more than fine. There's one key feature you can't buy or have Plato code into mechanics: Persuasion. That's all you, the real person behind the account. Have your Persuasion deal the damage. You'll find it's a whole new game. 😉
The game is dead because admins are not impartials.
HI im a new player, I was wondering if I have a chance to even enjoy this game in a competing way.. or do I need to buy gold and play 3 years before enjoying it?
strenght 😃
*strength
!
🙂
yes. it is dead. I am glad i left , right nowI only check back every now and then, just to feel better about the fact that I left. It feels nice
