Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Elections for Country President are happening right now, so we won’t keep you from the polls for too long.

eRepublik Botches Nominations

Several parties were unable to indicate their preferred candidate for the election today. Among these were America’s Advancement Party, the largest party in the nation, which announced the results of its primary in their newspaper. The Socialist Freedom Party also published their results and their nominee in this election, but neither nomination will appear in-game. The Conservative Party was forced to cancel their primary. Incumbent President Josh Frost was unable to set campaign goals due to server issues.



Birth of PHOENIX

A new alliance, PHOENIX, was announced yesterday, arising from the “ashes” of many former PEACE GC states, including Hungary, Indonesia, Russia, and Serbia. They claim a membership of fifteen states as of right now, and have published their charter. The alliance’s new organization has an article out announcing a logo contest.



Political Crisis in Peru and Venezuela

Two South American nations, Venezuela and Peru, found themselves targeted for political takeover. Argentina and Brazil attempted to remove Peru from the map and oust a PTO government, but the Argentinean zone of occupation was liberated, bringing Peru back with its old government and its high-iron region. Colombia attempted to conquer Venezuela, ostensibly to remove another PTO government, but was unable to do so with military action. Brazil has now conquered all of Venezuela and retains control of most of Peru. With Brazil’s matriculation to PHOENIX, the United States is voting to sign a mutual protection pact with Peru to prevent Great Andes from falling into PHOENIX hands.



Spain Invades France

Spain was completely conquered during World War III by France and Brazil. While the United States has sought peace with France, Spain has maintained their wartime stance. A multi-region assault conquered Midi-Pyrenees, Languedoc Roussillon, and Aquitaine, a high-wood region, yesterday. The Spanish pushed their offensive into Limousin, Auvergne, and Poitou Charentes, capturing them all. Spain is currently attacking Rhone Alps, another high-wood region. France is defended by six mutual protection pacts, but many were occupied with other engagements across the globe when Spain attacked. The French have signed new mutual protection pacts with Italy and Russia. EDEN supports Spain in their endeavor.



United States Training Corps

The United States Training Corps, the entry point for higher branches of the United States military, is still taking new recruits. Home Guard, Mobile Infantry, Army – they all get their start in the Training Corps. Anyone with aspirations of an eUS military career should start at this spreadsheet:
