Canada + US = Friends!

The Q10 (Ten Quick Questions) – “Maple Leaf” Edition

In recent days, there have been literally hundreds of articles in the US regarding the American response to the threat of a looming invasion. The articles ranged from what to do to prepare for defending our great nation, to pointing fingers and insults at our enemies. There were commentaries and personal attacks. Rumors and instructions. Patriotic missives and propagandist slander. Nearly all of it however, contained writings for and about the eUS or our enemy, PEACE.

But what of our nearest ally? How was Canada handling the threat of an impending attack? Unlike our “allies” the UK, who have proven they are not truly friends to the US at all, how close were we really with our neighbors to the north? I was curious. So I went ahead and asked…

10 Quick Questions with Canadian President, Jacobi:

Q1: Just a little over a week removed from your Presidential re-election campaign, did you think you would be on the verge of war only a week into your second term?
A: In a sense I did, because I had spent the better part of the last week organizing training wars between Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and other smaller countries. This is a bit bigger than I envisioned, however!

Q2: What is the mood amongst Canadians as we are on the brink of what could potentially be the largest war in the history of eRep?
A: I would say it’s a mood of solidarity. Never before have I seen such a shared sense of purpose and spirit. People are worried about the outcome, but I would definitely say eager to prove Canadian skills on the battlefield.

Q3: The British Parliament recently approved a “training war” which allowed Hungary to gain possession of Scotland and thereby gaining a point of attack to the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. If you could say or ask anything to the British leadership, right now, what would it be?
A: Well, I actually sent a message to most British Party Leaders, saying that to have Scotland occupied would be considered an act of war by the United Kingdom. The truth of the matter is that we were not consulted, we were not considered, and the existence of Canada as an independent nation was placed at stake. That is not how a trusted ally would act, so we are dealing with this new reality accordingly.

Q4: With debate raging in the UK and in Ireland of whether to join PEACE or not, how strong is Canada’s commitment to Fortis with only three of its initial proposed five charter members still participating?
A: Canada's commitment to the United States and its allies has never been stronger. If there was one point where we were considering PEACE as an option, recent provocative actions have swept that option off the table.

Q5: Quick word association... Fortis… Hassan Pesaran... Hungary.
A: Critical…Wombat…Inflated.

Q6: You recently described the many things Canadians could do to prepare for the impending attack in an Address to Canada. How well prepared do you feel Canada is at this point?
A: I feel that their preparation is at an all time high, and that we might even have become so prepared for this attack that Hungary is having second thoughts.

Q7: Just for fun, If you could smack one ePerson in the head with a hockey stick, who would it be and why?
A: That's an interesting question because I'm not a very violent guy. I'll just say that I wish we had PvP so I could go toe to toe with the Hungarian President 😛

Q8: Without revealing any national secrets, how much coordination is there between the leadership of Canada and the United States in regards to any defensive planning against the looming invasion?
A: A significant and pleasing amount.

Q9: Who would win in a fist fight Bryan Adams or Franz Liszt and why?
A: Franz Liszt. I'm not going to pretend Bryan Adams doesn't suck 😛

Q10: Do you have any message from the Canadian people to the citizens of the eUSA?
A: As long as there is a Canada, the United States will have at least one true blue friend. Whatever else Canada does or wants to do, our number one relationship will always be the United States.

Bonus Question: What is your favorite American state and why?
A: Washington, because I have family there.

Thank you and all Canadians for being such stalwart allies, Mr. President!
