[MoR]Report - Things are not terrible, far from it

Day 1,672, 12:21 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Blue And Evil

A few things have happened over the last few days which are worth talking about, so have this, another report from the Ministry of Retention.

Donations

A call for donations over the weekend has brought forth the best of the eUK and ONE community to fund the NHS scheme - a scheme which keeps our newest and most needy players well fed to work and fight. There's been some concerns voiced about the need for donations when the government accounts are doing so well, and our President jamesw has addressed them here, but let me just say, each and every person, party, and Serbian MU leader (ikr) who's donated has done a great thing - they've spent their own money and resources on the betterment of our new players - so here's a big thanks to everyone who's donated so far:

Between them, they have donated over 42k GBP worth of currency and gold and 131k wellness worth of food - enough to fund the NHS for a week.

Mentors

Since the mentoring program was launched a week ago, 45% of new NHS applicants - and a fair number of older ones - have requested an experienced player contact them to help them out and answer any questions they may have. It's a good system, and it's going well, except for the fact there's currently only 7 people acting as mentors, so we need your help. IF you more-or-less understand how erep works, and can spare a few minutes a day to PM some new players who will love you forever, get in contact with me, and I'll get you in contact with them.
