I have previously said I would never pay into this credit dump, It appears I was wrong. I was looking at my measly strength of just over 1500, and saw the banner sprawled across the top of the page. I only bought $30 worth of stuff, but I feel so guilty inside. I reneged on my pledge. Oh well, nothing a glass of scotch can't fix. Anyway, I may as well use this article for something useful. Since I didn't do a pre election breakdown, This should suffice.
What the hell happened?
So far, Oinyo is leading the pack with 20 more votes than runner up Rylde. DMV is pulling a clear 3rd followed by our favourite crack smoking mayor and a dog. How has the election come to a 3 way battle of the 3 least popular presidents of the last year? I don't know. This isn't an attack on any of them, I'm just saying that the voting public has thought Oinyo is ineffective, Rylde is a loose cannon, and DMV has only america in mind. Personally Oinyo is my, and many other's, choice for CP this term. Why Oinyo? Oinyo in his last campaign article came out against attack ads and mudslinging. He has let the opposition attack each other, and has used this to his advantage. He has also shown himself to be tuned into public opinion. He has changed his platform on several occasions due to public opinion, Some have said this is a weak thing to do. I perceive it to be the opposite. As a leader, you don't turn your back on the voters who put you in office. You listen to their concerns and take them into consideration. Why not Rylde or DMV? Rylde, although a damn good leader, was the one who got us into our 8 month perpetual wipe in the first place. Yes we wanted war, but his insults towards the eUK's ally Spain were rewarded with nothing but the biggest adversity in eCanadian history, the Great spanish wipe of 2013. The eCanadian public is likely not fully behind Rylde as they are still irked about the wipe, and the fact that CoT has just collapsed, making his planned Air strike next to impossible. Another campaign ruined by this most unfortunate of recent news stories is the campaign of DMV. His whole campaign was centred around improving relations with America and with CoT. Now that CoT is dead, his campaign is dead in the water. He shouldn't of put all his political investments in a single basket. As I have learned from IRL experience, diversify your investments. If you put all your capital in a stock and it sinks, your capital goes down with it. Its simple economics.
Too bad for Rylde and DMV CoT broke up a day before the elections, It likely killed their campaigns. Reporting for the eCanadian Business Weekly, this is TheSocialistChicken. Stay classy eCanada!

What people don't understand about politics is you need friends to sling the dirt while you cling to moral high ground, it was the backbone of the DAL and EPIC for their entire existence.

Exactly, great article btw although on the DMV3 part I really don't think the CoT collapse effected him that much. What killed him was breaking the promise to stay neutral last term, people see him as a liar now and won't trust a word he says, regardless how much money he pumps in the treasury.
Very true, though I did miss most of his term. I think the CoT collapse surely affected his platform though. That coupled with the lack of trust probably sealed the deal.

Regardless of the outcome I'm happy with the support I recieved This election given the baggage my name carries. The pressure is all on Oinyo now to deliver whatever it is he promised the sheep.
I don't think it was Oinyo's listening to the people more than just outright stupidy of his early campaign idea's and it was his critics that put them to rest. In retrospect we all shoulda stayed silent and we coulda let him waste half his term figuring it out himself for the lulz.
