Short story about what’s happening in Greece

Day 2,273, 14:07 Published in Romania Croatia by Ion Vlahu

Exactly what happened in Romania 200 days ago. People reacting when governments speak in their names without consulting them. Does that sound any bells? Of course it does. Remember when Romania unilaterally got out of EDEN and mpp’d Serbia. Of course you do. Some of you were cheering from the sidelines and some of you were fighting in Saxony. So that’s the long story short. The big tanks of Greece won’t take bullshit from a government that does not consult the population.

Wondering why they’re on the battlefield against Romania, do you? Well it’s because our only negotiation stance during the talks for a new alliance was the partnership with Serbia. We chose Serbia to EDEN one time, and now we’re choosing Serbia to Turkey and a part of Greece that has always been there for us in times of need. Why? For damage, of course.

There’s an age gap in Romania. I get it. Some of you, the young wolves were not exposed to EDEN's spirit and are, unfortunately, very damage and benefits oriented. The changing nature of the game probably contributed to that. The old timers are very stubborn and still fight for the old EDEN, we have other loyalties. We will not betray them. When we fight against Spain or Bulgaria, for instance, we work together perfectly. But unfortunately sometimes our loyalties collide. I really don’t blame you, the ones who supported the rift from the old brotherhood. You couldn't betray something you don’t have allegiance to. It's probably our fault that you didn’t understand the spirit of that brotherhood. Old edenites loyalty was forged in defeat, not in victory. In principle, not opportunism. We chose that path together, despite the hardships we endured. It's the bitterness and ashes in our mouths that made us loyal to each other. This will endure, those old bonds will not break. Our respect and friendship will not fade away. We will all have to live with this unfortunate reality.

I’m sure a lot of greeks feel the same way I felt back then. I’m sure they’re disappointed and frustrated. And unfortunately you, young wolves, have to face their wrath in some battles and their lack of interest in others. They’ll have, however, no matter what, my unshakeable respect. Unlike another part of their community, they’ll still be friends and heroes.
