Ligtreb for D.C.

Day 702, 23:48 Published in USA USA by ligtreb

People often ask me how to get involved, or what they can do to help. I never know exactly what to tell them, but try to make sure they know there's no limit to what you can do in this game. Anyone can take initiative to get something done, whether you're a newb or an old-timer.

Some things I've accomplished which really anyone could've done:

Hand out lots of weapons during the Manitoba battle with Chocolate McSkittles.
Create the Welcoming Committee gift program
Run the Welcoming Committee for over 5 months (4 on my own)
Create and run Fort Harlot during the war when our country lost its Skill 0 Job Hub
Propose a law (recently passed) requiring most debate links in proposals to be public.
PTO three different parties to use their gold to reach out to newbs.

My four terms in Congress has taught me we need three types of congressmen:

1) People with great ideas
2) People with energy and willingness to learn the game.
3) People who can get things done.

Every candidate says they fit into the first two. I'm telling you I can get things done (and have my fair share of ideas and energy).

I am definitely not saying I'm the best congressman out there. The perfect Congress would have different types of people, experts in different fields, newbs who are learning the game, and people who can help get things done. I'd like to believe I've shown over my four terms (and as a member of three different Presidential Cabinets) that I have a lot to contribute to a legislative body.

If I had to guess, someone will be facing a PTO threat on Election Day. If that happens, you should go there and vote. If not, please consider voting for me. I will do my best not to let you down.
