I have an effeminate voice, and run funny-like.

I also have blonde hair, stand at 6’3”, own a dog and drive a 1994 Olds. Cutlass Ciera.
I have been hesitant to go public about my RL sexual orientation. Playing an online game such as this allows an individual to keep their RL circumstances secret. For many, this game is a release from a hectic world (though eRep. is pretty hectic, if you ask me). For me, my orientation hasn’t really come up, and that was mostly my choice. But as those who remain in the closet tend to experience, I began to feel as though I had been living a double eLife. I have been out to some folks who I became close to; rainy sunday, Mazzy Cat, HadrianX and a few others.
I am still Othere, still just as fabulous. The character I play on this game will not change. I will probably be mistaken for a woman just as often, thanks to my avatar (ILU Hill!!!). Though I won’t be afraid to call into eNPR, for fear of my voice outing me. Perhaps you will notice my god-given sarcastic wit, and appreciate my love for RuPaul’s Drag Race a little more.
I am definitely not the only player on this game to come out of the closet. The eUK has a whole sub-forum devoted to the LGBTQ+ community. Register on their forums, request access to the membergroup, and save me from the BritQueens! As Thomas765 stated in the linked article, all are welcome to the forum.
In closing, this article changes nothing. I like this game enough to keep coming back for the past 4 years, some trolling in the comments of this article will not change that.

I don't like getting up on my soapbox, I really don't, but I have to.
I really, really, really, really wish that the f**kers that feel the need to hate on someone because of their sexual orientation, skin color, religion, nationality, accent, political beliefs, body type, lifestyle, eating habits, clothes, shoes, hair, opinions, creed, musical interests, values, morals, car they drive, house they live in, or favorite color would take a long walk off a short pier.
The hate that still permeates this country, this world, just disgusts me. We are all the same damned species, isn't that enough? If we were all identical in every way there would be absolutely no point to life.

I'm not saying you're not welcome to come out, I'm just saying that in reality your sexual orientation is pretty meaningless in this game. You rise on your merits and the work that you do, people fall due to a lack of the same. *shrugs*
I don't think it's meaningless at all, it can be very hard to actually want to play in a heavily heteronormative or homophobic environment, and they aren't hard to find on eRepublik, whether it be in your own ecountry or others - taking on a role in international politics, for example, and having to deal with intolerance in a 'diplomatic' way ie. ignoring it, ain't always so easy.
Plus being the subject of gossip isn't always grand either 🙂
BTW, what kind of dog? 'Cause if it's a little ankle biter, you might be, you know... gay.

Nothing wrong with coming out and being honest. I'm always honest myself. I dislike guile, and I dislike people who hide things or act two-faced. I'll never respect or see the need for the lying slanderers of this world.
