Day 1,556, 14:57 Published in India India by Uv Ajed

Thought of the Day -"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea and ideas are bulletproof."

Based on an advertisement printed in yesterday's newspaper, The Twaddle of Humbug has decided to dedicate the whole editorial and today's paper to our Chief Editor, Samnomix, who is running for the Congress from Tamil Nadu as a candidate of the Democratic Party of India. Today we are publishing Samnomix's agenda and manifesto used in his campaigns for the upcoming election. We hope that our readers would affirm their support with us, as we pledge our unanimous belief in Samnomix & call upon everyone to "Show some love & Vote for Hope"

1. Democracy & Libertarianism:
"Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty."
Preserving the essence of true democracy & libertarian values, and abiding to the rules of conduct of the congress, before proposing or voting for any laws, I would, in my personal capacity, take the public opinion or general consensus about their views on the same from the citizens of Tamil Nadu. After all Everybody is special. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool & a villain. Everybody has their story to tell…

2. Population, Publicity & Propaganda:
"The real India might not need more people, We do."
In the present scenario & the current situation more than any other resources, it is the human resource we need the most. Since time immemorial, many possible solutions have been suggested to achieve a baby boom in eIndia which offlate has been experiencing a negative trend in the population growth. The effort hasn't gone in vain, the enthusiasm has though. In terms of population we are currently ranked 47th amongst 70 nations. Compared to our neighbors like China with 9191 citizens, Indonesia with 8364 citizens, Turkey with 9411 citizens, etc. we currently have a meager & stable population of 877. Unless we take a firm stand about it, sooner or later we would end up being a dominion to these large nations. I would take special interest in taking help of a Propaganda & Publicity Center of eIndia in promoting the game and our nation in various online media to get new recruits & players, improving the Education Department which is involved in helping newbies & creating guides and thus achieve greater success in our future endeavors & the growth of our nation. I would also take extra interest in improving our immigration process, through initiatives in promoting eIndia among the eRepublik players by projecting India as a hot destination & recruiting the strongest, honest & loyal players from across the server...

3. Foreign Affairs & Wars:
"No country can act wisely simultaneously in every part of the globe at every moment of time. Ten soldiers wisely led will beat a hundred without a head."
At this time of need overindulging in wars won't solve our socio-politico-economic crisis neither can we afford to fight a Large nation to feed our hunger for war. With bigger countries like Turkey at our doorstep poising a risk to our security. Planing & waiting like a predator for the perfect moment to seize our states, our priority would be to train, collect resources & prepare ourselves for the bigger battle. At the same time we cannot put our expansion at stake, especially with the threat of loosing our states looming over us, hence with the support of our allies attacking smaller nations like Thailand should also be in our list of priorities, but with proper care, extreme caution & very limited number of wars...

4. Finance:
"When I was young I thought that money was the most important thing in life; now that I am old I know that it is."
Citizenship fees & taxes contribute to our national treasury and thus Help us grow as a nation. It is the duty & right of every good citizen to do something good for their country. Which in our case would be by contributing to the national treasury. In spite of our coffers being almost empty, we cannot afford to charge an exorbitant amount from the citizens, with a fear of scaring new citizens & recruits away and further leading to a brain drain or reverse immigration. In my opinion one of the ways of achieving this would be through nationalizing few commodity markets & monetary/financial markets and promoting their use among the citizens by requesting everyone to use the Govt. owned Markets at least once a day without affecting the pockets of our traders. Other ways would be by bringing an uniformity in the market price of various commodities inc. gold, by slightly increasing the taxes and by promoting donations...

5. Education & Job:
"Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for the lifetime."
Ignorance just like in real life, poses a hindrance in the growth of an individual & a nation in erepublik. Increasing the strength of the welcome committee & education department to educate all the newbies about the game & creating health clinics for all the players to seek help of older & experience players in improving their nations, would in turn give a big boost to eIndia. Also keeping the old & experienced citizens, who volunteer for the available jobs & posts, happy by giving them a better compensation in exchange of their valuable time & effort would all together help us to Dream, Grow, Realize, Prosper & Succeed in becoming a Super Power in the world of eRepublik...
