[Conway] Financial Matters
MrConway
Citizens of Ireland,
Today I write to you to inform you of some economical plans if I am elected as your President. I have high ambitions for my term in the Finance Department but cooperation by the general population is required, together we can achieve anything! We need to stand together and push forward, restore the power we once were, and make the tri-colour a symbol our enemies will learn to fear.
As some people I have spoken with know, one of the most exciting parts of my campaign is my cabinet, I will release the full list soon. However let me tell you about one member who has agreed to serve under my leadership, Sweet Drinker.
Those who know Sweet Drinker will remember him as the greatest economist in eIreland, possibly the eWorld. He turned Ireland from being a small poor nation into the richest nation per capita. Sweet Drinker brought the economy module to every Irish citizen by providing such programs like:
24/7 Q7 weapons for every Irish Citizen
Goldfish
"Pass the Salt Peter”
Give 10,000 IEP to every Irish citizen
Due to his economic brilliance Ireland was able to sign a stack of MPP’s and became a military power. The greatest Irish achievements would not have been possible without this man, he is back. Another great aspect about Sweet Drinker is that under his term as Minister of Finance not one penny was stolen from the treasury, and under my term not one penny will be stolen as I am giving Sweet Drinker full control over all organisations, apart from one that myself and the MoD will have access to for day to day funding.
Ladies and Gentleman it is safe to say Ireland’s finances will be sorted.
I have spoken with Sweet Drinker to discuss our plans with our finances. We have looked at our current accounts and budgeted that we can achieve the following:
Sign 10 MPP’s
Heavily fund our military
Maintain a profit
These goals seem tough but we have full confidence they will be achieved. We may possibly have to adjust our tax rates but this is pending further investigation. If we feel we have to do so, we hope congress will grant us full support as this is for the betterment of the general population.
I thank you for your time in reading, I will publish more plans soon.
Until then, have a nice day,
MrConway.
We seem to have lost. We have not lost. To refuse to fight would have been to lose; to fight is to win. We have kept faith with the past, and handed on a tradition to the future.
Let us drop talking and get on with our work.

Nice!
Quality stuff, keep it going!
Sweet is the man ,voted
I remember Sweet who still refuse to show financial books from last time he was MoF....
Maybe coz he used state funds to finance ICA and his little mafia family....
Remember how ICA supplies went down to nothing soon after Sweet resigned?
And i remember you Conway still not returning 200 000 iep you stole from last robbery.
My suggestion to you is to put Padraig in immigration so he can legaly demand golds for cz like he did with argentinians.
And OJ must for sure be your MoFA...if he could scamm entire Portugal government few weeks ago for sure he can negotiate great deals for Ireland.
IBhoy should be declared an Emperor....so he could openly sell irish teritories like when he sold Dublin to Brits.
Moo would be perfect as minister of information....
For long time he plays neutral but always lick ibhoy's feet...even now he is running only to steal votes from real opposition to conway...
"And OJ must for sure be your MoFA...if he could scamm entire Portugal government few weeks ago for sure he can negotiate great deals for Ireland" It's one sure way to finance our ambitions.
Its important to have an ambition....it's what seperate you from human losers.....
I feel you have gone off me, Kurgan...
Your feelings are flawed........SEANAN!
Something I would like to see, at the end of each term, the Finance Minister should show the books. It keeps everything open and accounted for, and it let's the public know where our taxes are going. If the minister isn't willing to show what they are doing with the public's money, I don't feel they should be in a position of public trust.
This isn't pointed at any particular person, but for any Finance Minister in the future.
Of course we want to see where our money is going. However under Sweets term and system we were NEVER robbed. Only when this system was broken we were robbed. Also if books are released whose to say that the books are accurate?
I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I agree that books can fixed, but I'd still like an idea of what is going on with the funds, even if it's a break down of x went to boot camp, x to mpp's, x to IA, x for salaries, or whatever. I'm not an accountant, I don't need every fraction of IEP, but a general breakdown would be nice. If the minister is on top of their job, I don't think it should be that difficult or time consuming for them to put up such an article.
Sweet almost always provided a general breakdown of what was spent and where during his year and a half as MoF, don't know why people continually make the mistake of claiming he did not.
You have a good point but I'd like to make just a few comments on this subject.
1. It would be basically impossible to create useful accounting documents to represent eR finance actions. All you would get might be some account balances and some notes.
2. As long as it's obvious that we're getting back more than we're putting in, is it really worth asking for the MoF to waste his time and effort creating such statements? Is it worth asking the MoF to potentially give up information on any competitive advantage we may have over our enemies?
I don't disagree that there is a value to a public/congress who are informed on our financial status, but often the rhetoric seen over this issue is just poorly informed.
Why can't there be less retards and more Ian Colemans? ;__;
WHHHHYYYYYY?????
People don't seem to realise that as soon as we stopped doing things the way Sweet wanted we had 2million + stolen from us. just shut up and let Sweet do his job.
Great article Conway.
It was 4 million
Sweet can't make so much money you can steal.
Another insightful and compelling comment.

Impossible with the current economy modual. Just saying.
Nothing is Impossible.
You weren't here for Sweets terms as MoF when he made the Irish transition from Third World into First World.
When Q1 cost 6.6 - 10% tax is .66. When Q1 costs .5 - 10% tax is .05
Simple math

what hank said, dont say its impossible when you dont know of his quality work.
Not impossible. Just vote and we will show you!
Sorry, way to much has changed to make me think you (or sweets) has a plan. It is simple supply and demand. Both are too low to create more taxes. To make it work we need 1. more irish (workers, buyers, producers) 2. more bonus
Considering this reptiles stole over 4 million it is possible if they decide to return part of that money.....
ILP stole 4 million and I agree with you, they are reptiles. Glad you're on my side.
ILP are just heretics....but your little heard...fine thiefing reptile speciments
IBhoy when will i have you on my friend list......
You do realise i do all this all this time only to be noticed by you..
Stupid that you can't edit comments
Hank - It doesn't look like you were here either for sweets term either since I have been playing 2 months longer than you. Who did you play under before?
If you're not active enough to know who I am I doubt your active enough to have such strong opinions on Economic matters.
Good one "If you don't know I'm not going to tell you" What does my economics background have to do with knowing or caring who you are a multi of
I never questioned your economics background, I'm pointing out that your criticisms of Sweet are unjust as you weren't active during his terms as MoF.
I am sure Sweet did a great job. I never said he didn't do a good job. iIam just pointing out that you can not just turn a switch and make more money. Different times now. No contries are making taxes like they did. McConway wants us to think that he and Sweet can work magic, but they (McConway) won't say how they will do it. I am just pointing out that unless we add 5000 players and take the UK, then tax revenue will not increase 3xs.
Of course if Plato changes the eEconomy things can change, but as is it is not going to happen.
Jesus fed a hungry 5000 with 2 fishy fish
Thanks for the laugh. 🙂
But Conway is not Jesus.....he would be closer to jews who snitched Jesus to romans
Waving Jew o/ oI o/ ol
No money was stolen from the treasury during my term
No work was done from the Government during my term.
Grammar check is on the house Mike 🙂
Mike has actually done a lot. And that isn't me being completely bias. I've said that same about past relatively "boring" Presidents. Things were heating up before the trolls began trolling.
name two meaningful things Gerald. Ive have said on so many articles that he hasnt done anything...please enlighten me if you know something I dont.
How are you going to do this
We all know Sweet is good but that doesn't mean we can just magically become rich again all this article does is say that sweet is the MOF nothing about how or where you will get this money
Where we get this money from is behind closed doors. If we openly speak about how to obtain great wealth in this game our enemies will also use this system and our advantage will be ruined.
Serious apologies about having to keep secrets but the more secret and secure our finances are the better.
As shown, Sweet Drinker is a genius and can make massive profit. As the final quote I said in my article says:
"Let us drop talking and get on with our work."
And then we will provide you with the results.
funny, cause even after you lose I doubt you'd tell the next administration your miracle for growing money on trees. After all, that would help the country, and you'd have less to bitch about.
A secrets a secret. If we tell another administration who tells another that exposes the risk to coming into the hands of our enemies.
I did offer to help finance department before but I was rejected.
So, in other words, you're only keeping it secret because without it you're practically worthless?
and with it he's a liar.
Mike I can assure you that I would be a lot better of a CP than you are. Finances is actually my weakest area personally but Sweet Drinker is controlling these. I have stronger aspects and if this secret was exposed I would not be worthless.
We all have secrets Mike. Apart from you who comes on to eRepublik, brags about doing drugs, tell everyone your homeless and shouts about getting your date with Emily. How is she?
Yeah, maybe because you won't have someone in your cabinet sabotage your work and have a group of people determined on directing the President's attention on internal matters instead of trying to expand eIreland's influence, better our financial situation, and right before we were working on getting into a war until you're little Labour fiasco.
