Are you ready to continue our journey eCanada?



We started by looking at who we are as individuals and who we are as an eNation.

To me we are a strong, intelligent, dedicated nation with integrity and compassion. When we pull together we can accomplish anything we want.

Let's move on to the next step.

Why are you here?



The next step is to understand why we are here. Knowing our motivation for being here helps us set policy to make eCanada the place we want to participate in.

Why am I here? In the beginning of my life in eRepublik I was here to play the game. Grow in strength and prosperity. Eventually to become a despot ruler of some South American country.


(Come on...everyone in V1 wanted that.)

The longer you play however, the more I find the social interactions with people become the reason I stay in the game. The social aspect of the game overtakes the frustrations with the game mechanics. And before you know it, you're on the forums, on irc, posting articles....even running in a CP election.

Why are you here? I've asked this question around a couple places and quite simply we're all here for the same reason. Create the strongest characters we can within eRepublik while having some fun with friends from around the world.



Here's what I plan to offer eCanada so you have the opportunity to be more social.



1. Cultural Exchange Program. While the introduction of the "True Patriot" medals will make people more reluctant to change citizenship, some may still desire this option. I will work with my foreign affairs staff to create opportunities for eCanadian citizens to get involved in other countries. In fact I view this as even more important as countries become insular with people chasing the gold associated with the "True Patriot" medal.



2. The Alliance Gift Exchange Program. The eUS has historically been our best and most trusted ally. The "Give a Bro a Gift Day" was initiated by Banach and was an instant hit after the tension of the Great War. I spearheaded a revival of this program last month and found it was a great way to reconnect with our Bros. There should always be a special place for this program, but it would be worth extending this to other allies in order to help foster a sense of camaraderie.



It's time for eCanada to go forth into eRepublik and create the strong bonds that keep us in the game.

Pourquoi est-tu ici?



La prochaine étape est de comprendre pourquoi nous sommes ici. Connaître notre motivation à être ici aide à faire du eCanada un endroit dans lequel nous voulons travailler.

Pourquoi suis-je ici? Au début de ma vie dans eRepublik, j’étais ici pour jouer au jeu. Devenir plus fort et plus riche. Devenir dictateur d’un pays d’Amérique du Sud.


(Come on...tout le monde voulais devenir la réincarnation de Pinochet dans la V1.)

Toutefois, plus longtemps j’ai joué, plus les interactions avec les autres joueurs deviennent la raison pourquoi je restais sur le jeu. L’aspect social prend le dessus sur les frustrations dues au mécaniques du jeu. Et sans t’en rendre compte, tu es sur le forum, sur IRC, à publier des articles....et tu en est même à te présenter comme Président.

Pourquoi êtes-vous ici? J’ai posé cette question à quelques endroits, et tout le monde était ici pour la même raison: Créer le personnage le plus fort possible sur eRepublik tout en ayant du plaisir avec des amis tout autour du monde.



Voici ce que je prévois offrir au eCanada pour encourager l’aspect social.



1. Programme d’Échanges Culturels. Avec l’introduction de la médaille "True Patriot", les joueurs voudront moins changer de nationalité, mais certains pourraient toujours vouloir changer d’air. Je vais travailler avec mes responsables des affaires externes pour créer des opportunités pour les citoyens de s’impliquer dans d’autres pays. En fait, je crois que ceci sera encore plus important comme les pays auront tendance à s’isoler afin d’obtenir la récompense reliée à la médaille "True Patriot".



2. Programme d’Échange de Cadeaux. Les eUSA ont historiquement été notre meilleur allié. Le "Give a Bro a Gift Day" fut créé par Banach et fut un succès instantané après la tension de la “Great War”. J’ai lancé une nouvelle version de ce programme le mois dernier et j’ai trouvé que c’était une très bonne façon de reconnecter avec nos amis. Il devrait toujours y avoir une place pour ce programme, mais il serait excellent de le faire également avec d’autres alliés, question d’améliorer le sentiment de camaraderie.



Il est temps pour le eCanada d’aller de l’avant sur eRepublik et de créer des liens qui nous gardent sur le jeu.
