Rebel With a Cause: The Story of RGR
Ronald Gipper Reagan
It's a great scene, isn't it? It gets me every time! Anyway....
A big anniversary of my time in the eWorld is coming up soon, and so I just felt like writing this article a little bit ahead of the curve. I have been called by more than one individual, "the most stubborn person I have ever met." I take it as a compliment. No matter what facet of life it may be in, I have always held steadfast by my principles, and I refuse to back down from them. I may be a Yankee by birth(but let's go Mets?), but I am a Confederate at heart in my belief in liberty and in a noble and righteous rebellion against corrupt authority. I have always found myself sympathizing with these sorts of causes. I am a champion of the underdog. No matter the odds, I tend to gravitate towards those, except when I was a Chicago Bulls fan in the mid to late 90's, but can you blame me?
I suppose I relate a lot to some of the political correctness gone mad that we have seen in today's world. It is no secret that the victors write the history books, and we saw that during the eUSA Civil War(of which I have written extensively about in the past), but I think no matter the outcome, all we can do as honorable men is our duty, and to fight for what we believe in. If there is one thing I have learned is never to let other people influence how you think, or to give in to the mindless sheeple mentality perpetuated by those who want to rewrite our history with their lies and propaganda.
For most of my life I have been a rebel with a cause. In the face of the decline of American society and western civilization at large, I refuse to be silent and back down. It has caused me more than a few problems over the years, but I am simply too stubborn to surrender my beliefs and my principles. We all must do this if there is to be any hope for future civilization to be anything we should rightfully be proud of.
Most of the negative things people have ever written or said about me have been so categorically false and malicious, but yet these are the tactics that bullies and bull....something else I can't write on here use to try to get others to hop on their gossip train, whether it be true or false. I pit myself against the "system", the "establishment", or whatever you want to call it, because I view it as corrupt. This applies to the eWorld and elsewhere. A cause is never truly lost unless we give up on it. My message to you is simple. Never give up!
It has truly been a privilege to get to know so many of you(both gone and still here). It gives one a glimmer of hope that perhaps there are enough decent people left in the world to change things before it is too late. I hope we will go on to accomplish great things, perhaps even working together! ePolitics and RL politics are corrupt. Most of the people in power are bad, selfish, incompetent human beings who should be removed from their positions and replaced by something far better. I am not telling you Reaganite loyalists anything you do not already know. All I know is we must make more of an effort to do this. Upend the system however you can. If we give up, they win.
I do not give in to political correctness, and I won't dishonor the memory of greater generations past. Men once knew to stand for things that matter. Where has that gone? Be a rebel with a cause, and do not let this corrupt eWorld and real world keep you down. We must find a way to rise above it....

"...a noble and righteous rebellion against corrupt authority..." Bwah-hahahaha! That's the lamest excuse for defending slavery I've ever seen.
Funny stone bc he took full responsibility for that when it happened and he wasn't a racist, what racist would let his slaves go before the war as Lee and Jackson did not any.
Right and that's why the Lee's Gettysburg after action reports are missing and Longstreet never forgave him.

"the most stubborn person I have ever "
I'd say retard instead of stubborn...
As the biggest I D I O T in this game, you should know about retards!
It's also funny how ppl think the war was over slavery when it was over states rights. Lincoln used slavery to keep England and France out of the war, the reason of the Emancipation proclamation and to free slaves to fight for the north and also when the slaves left there wasn't hardly any men at home to do work the fields for food causing problems there. The issue of slavery was used as a tactic nothing else.
Bud, you need a history lesson. Desperately. Anyone thinking this clown knows what he's talking about should research the Civil War and its causes on their own.
I am in school. I'm really into history so I know a lot of what I'm talking about. Was states rights the only issue no but it wasn't mainly if at all about slavery.

George, they were not slaves but volunteers. 😛
You just spouted off nothing but neo Confederate bs.
Everyone of the states that left the Union all made it quite clear in their declaration of secession that slavery was the root cause, check out Texas right off the bat.
England had sent observers to the Confederacy to report back to the king what was going on.
After viewing the horrific carnage of Antitum(sp) or Sharpsburgh as the South called it.
He reported to the King that the UK should stay out of the war.
He stated and I paraphrase;
What these Americans do to each other is awful, I could only imagine what they would do to foreign troops
Or something along those lines.
Lee was horribly over rated as a Commander.
Jackson made him look good.
But with Jackson mortally wounded Lee's invasion of the North was doomed to failure.
Any commander ordering men across over a mile of open terrain against well fortified enemy positions was a fool at best.
Do yourself a favor and read real history
I went to Chancellorsville, VA about 2 years ago...where Jackson was wounded. Very beautiful place. The battlefield is now a soybean field.
The only time the north really started winning was when Grant became general over the Union and wasn't afraid to take losses. And u read real history that's not wrote by ppl who think they know what happen instead of knowing the facts
The union started winning the War when they captured New Orleans and divided the Confederacy.
From that point on it was only a matter of time for the Confederacy's defeat,
You are correct Grant was winning battles but as stated it started in the Western Theater.
Fall of Fort Donalson, holding the line at Shiloh etc. about 2 years before he took command of The Army of the Potomac. Those were major factors in forcing Lee into invading Maryland in Sept. 1862. Where he was quickly stopped at Sharpsburgh. True Union forces were badly lead in the East by McClendon and then Burnside and the somewhat worthless Hooker. Lee's biggest victory and what would be his last was at Chancellorsville, and that was mostly because of Jackson's flanking maneuver that caught the Yankees encamped eating dinner.
It was a brilliant move.
But that victory would only lead to his massive defeat at Gettysburg. His second invasion was a disaster from the get go.
His army was spread all over central PA.
He had limited command and control of his forces.
Stuart's Calvary was MIA until July 3rd. Where they were stopped about 3 miles from the town when they engaged Union Calvary lead by none other than Custer.
The Rebels made solid gains on July 1st but yielding the high ground to the union south of town would prove to be their downfall as well as not capturing Culp's Hill that evening.
July 2nd was squandered. Lee was not clear on his orders and Longstreet's attacks that day did not engage till 4 pm. Hood's Texas Brigade a formidable force was broken at Little Round Top by Chamberlians Maine Reg. as well as a couple of NY Regiments.
All of this forced Lee to launch a full frontal assault against Union positions on high ground with about 6000 infantry and about 120 guns. They destroyed Pickett's Division in less than an hour.
The biggest mistake of the War was Meade not pursuing and destroying the Army of Northern Virginia on the night of July 3rd into July 4. The war would have ended there.
Oh yea Vicksburg fell on the 4th as well.
Sadly the butchering would go on for two more years, but the Confederacy was thankfully finished.
Grant and Sherman made sure of that.
Understand this. I think of the CSA needed to be put down.
Any country making it' economic gains by enslaving people is corrupt and evil.
Sadly poor illiterate white men were talked into fighting and dying by Rich plantation owners and of course the clergy that supported slavery
As far as soldiers they were incredible on the battlefields and their bravery and sacrifice cannot be argued. I respect what they did as fighting men from a military historical viewpoint.
But the government they died for was no good.
Sort the same as the German soldiers of WW2. Outstanding soldiers squandered for a brutally cruel government.
Oh yeah the Yankees were no saints either.
I am just glad that after the war we came together the north and south, after all we are Americans and we are better being together then seperate.
I have always enjoyed my time south of the Mason Dixon line, good people I have met over the years.
Pro tip do not listen to anything this clown writes.
ajay is a freak of the highest order.
I think the waste of the 2nd hard two parts. First, Longstreet disagreed with Lee's conduct of the battle and spent the day stalling while he argued with Lee. Until Lee issued a direct order for him to attack much too late in the day. Second, Longstreet again stalled wanting to go around the Roundtops. Lee arrives and realizes his orders had not been carried out. He then again issues a direct order to Longstreet to attack the Union center.
I believe that Lee's ego got the better of him, but even if he had won at Gettysburg the fall of Vicksburg sealed their fate.
Also, it is actually Pickett's after action report that is missing. He turned one in but Lee disagreed with it and did not accept it and returned it to Pickett to be reworked. That was the last it was seen.
Ur right Shiloh but Grant was in the western front first then the main campaign.
It's good that you're in school. But either the school you're in isn't very good, or you aren't doing a good job of learning.
Lol. This is funny.
Just to clarify something. My teacher this year is a very informed man he know a lot of history so I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about. Not all that I say is what he said don't take me wrong. I think a lot of ppl need to take another look at that war a find facts instead of the normal idea of the war. Just saying
So the school you're in isn't very good. Although there's probably also a strong element of hearing what you want to hear contributing to your misapprehension. Good luck if you get to university unraveling all the BS you have learned. You're going to need it.
Don't be an idiot. It's not a good look. Secession was about slavery, period. The "states rights" you are babbling about was the right to own slaves. The issue of slavery was widely debated from the first days of the Republic. The fighting in Kansas was about slavery. The actions taken by John Brown were about slavery. Alternative views of history were developed by racist revisionists who went on to oppose Reconstruction and implement Jim Crow. The Declaration of Causes from Texas, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina discussed both Slavery and State's Rights, with a heavy, primary focus on slavery. Mississippi's reads: "Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery.” Confederate VP Stephens said in March, 1861: “The new constitution has put at rest, forever, all the agitating questions relating to our peculiar institution African slavery as it exists amongst us the proper status of the negro in our form of civilization. This was the immediate cause of the late rupture and present revolution.” The "new constitution" he refers to is the secessionist one. He is saying that defending slavery is main reason for rebellion. The ghost of General Sherman is keeping an eye on you.
didn't read though makes me wonder what is this anniversary for anyway? the day you found a new life form in your genitalia?

Well, well seems the little man can't take being called out. Reported me for vulgarity for which I received a Famous Point. What putz...
Baawaahahaha...
So here it is without the vulgarity:
You need to shut your mouth. Not only is Robert E Lee a racist he is the single biggest reason why the Confederacy lost the Civil War. He is the reason for Pickett's Charge and the horrible loss of life in that wheat field. Because he refused to listen to the officer on the scene, General James Longstreet who wished to move around Little Round Top, Lee ordered a frontal assault that wiped out an entire command. This is the scene that you should have reference😛 https://youtu.be/5Dl7AKZAPeU
