10 Downing Street: Great Britain at War

Day 2,213, 19:56 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by 10 Downing Street
Obligatory theme music.

Dear Britain,

A mere couple of hours ago parliament passed a declaration of war against France, and as such the United Kingdom now finds herself at a state of war with France.

The government is working tirelessly to assure our success in the upcoming war, but without our citizens with us we can do nothing.
I ask of you all to be vigil and ready to force our enemy to surrender by all means possible.

Much like the viking Rollo bent France to its knees in the lord’s year of 911, we too shall bend the French to our bidding.
And much like Rollo, we are setting sails for Normandy. But unlike him, we will not halt until we reach the beating heart of the French republic: Paris.
I will be looking forward to accept the French republic’s unconditional surrender in the near future.

Britain takes up the French challenge
To save honour itself:

Three days ago an invasion of Poland was proposed in the French parliament.
The United Kingdom saw rather quickly that it looked as though it was going to be rejected, but knowing the devil inside the French we could not entrust their parliament in not attempting, and succeeding, with a proposal to invade the United Kingdom.
As the French proposal to invade Poland was rejected, Poland launched their own declaration of war against France, and it was soon to pass.
With France having tested the sovereignty of both the United Kingdom and Poland, and with both countries having strong interests in the region, our parliaments have decided to proceed with our invasion plans of France.
Minister of Defence Max Blue is enthusiastic about our prospects in the coming war.

With the first battle soon to commence, we ask for the support of all men and women in Britain, and the empire.
We need you to win this war.

The King’s Message to the People:

The following message was broadcasted by the King from Buckingham Palace throughout the Empire at 11 o'clock last evening:

"Subjects, today we fight the toad. It will be a glorious day, as for many years the hounds of Britain have waited for the opportunity to war with our one true natural enemy; the Frenchmen. Not only will it boost our morale, but we also anticipate that the eUK will enter a new golden age of prosperity: as the export of white flags from our famous textile industry will double over the coming weeks. As always, we must unite and fight smart to tackle our enemies, and take joy in the opportunity to battle with the French. They say you are what you eat; and so we can fully expect our men, raised on aldi horse lasagne to be faster and stronger than snail chomping frogs.

Yours,
King Woldy I"

Britain’s Babyboom Initiative:

With the most recent competition the admins have granted us, an initiative to boost our population as much as possible, many of our citizens have taken initiative to work to increase the strength of our country.
The government wants to thank every citizen involved in such an initiative, and we do encourage it.

One of the most prominent initiatives can be found here.
Emergy Maxfell has started a competition that encourages the creation of public advertisement, where the best thinkers are rewarded with all referrals from their ad.

Britain in TWO:

With the most recent elections on the position of Secretary General of our alliance The World is Ours the headquarter of the alliance has shifted.

The British government is proud to announce that two members of our government have been electe😛

Sathan, Deputy Prime Minister has been elected to the office of Secretary General of TWO.
Kravenn, Minister of Foreign Affairs has been elected to the office of Secretary of Foreign Affairs of TWO.

On behalf of the government, I express a congratulations to the newly elected officials.
We take pride in the fact that our alliance is so open to our citizens leadership.

Across the Ponds:

Over the past couple of days, the British government has been in contact with the Irish and American governments on the subject of a potential non-aggression-pact.
With the United States looking to rent the regions of Cork and Wexford from Ireland, both Ireland and the United States have approached the United Kingdom on the subject of a non-aggression-pact.
The subject has since been discussed between all parties involved, but due to a disagreement in terms between the governments of the United Kingdom and Ireland no agreement to a reasonable treaty has yet to be made.
As such, parliament has not yet had a chance to vote officially on the matter.

Diplomatic Relations Survey:

The government has issued its first nationwide survey, on the topic of foreign relations.
We encourage all citizens of the United Kingdom to participate, as every voice matters.
The purpose of this survey is to give the government a much better understanding about the opinions of the people of Britain, and we will be looking to hold further surveys on other subjects in the future.
Through sharing your opinion on foreign relations with us it will be much easier for the government to prioritise our attention and strengthening our bonds with the allies that Britain feels truly matters.

The War Cabinet:

Two days ago the British foreign ministry published an article detailing Britain’s full government, and to spread awareness of our government to increase government transparency, I encourage all citizens to read it.

British Diplomats in Polan😛

In light of the outbreak of our war with France, the British government has issued an official statement on behalf of the United Kingdom to the people of Poland expressing our friendship and support for the ally that has long stood by us through thick and thin.

As of now, I will leave you with this quote:

"What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone?" -Winston Churchill
