Oh, deer! Resource Wars II - Day 3095 [updated 17:00]
Ilene Dover
Well, things have improved for us since my last Resource Wars update.
How many resources are left in the world? I’m glad you asked. This is my read on the resources that have been taken:
Data is not very useful without observations, so here goes. Remember that's resources can only be claimed once they’re released into the pool. If the distribution was strictly even, we should be slightly under 20% of the way through each resource.
1. The new resource is still the most popular. The first Neodymium (Very Rare new resource) was released earlier this e-day. Pakistan continued their competitive run for the new industry and claimed it. They now have a fully stocked new resource region in Balochistan.
2. Weapons are still the least released resource. We are about 20% through the Resource Wars by time, but we’ve only seen a small number of the weapons resources released.
3. Four (from seventeen) rubber resources have been released. These have gone to South America (Peru), Europe (Poland and Portugal) and the Middle East (Saudi Arabia). Well done to these countries!
4.Three (from twenty four) deer resources have been released. Europe (Portugal and Croatia) and North America (USA) have taken these. A herd of deer may descend over the next week?
5. The first and only granite resource (from seven) was claimed by Georgia. They now have a fully-stacked housing resource region. Congratulations - that takes some strategy to pull off!
6. Very common resources are not being released in as great quantities as common or uncommon resources. My prediction is that a flood of the very common resources will be released in the last week.
How is the eUSA doing?
Better than last week, although some people and groups will probably be getting nervous.
Our bonuses so far, by industry.
Food
Currently Food is our best supplied industry. We have three of the five resources (Deer, Fruits and Fish) for an overall national bonus of 55%. Our maximum region bonus is 45% at the moment, in Nebraska.
Weapons
No change from last week… One miserly resource - Iron. That gives us a national bonus of 10% and a maximum region bonus of 10% in Arkansas.
Winning a rubber resource is clearly a goal of the administration. Please, listen to shouts and MU orders closely. Sometimes it’s important to not be winning or our domination points collect too quickly.
Housing
Housing is sitting with a national bonus of 50% from three (of five) resources (limestone, wood and sand). Our maximum regional bonus is 25%, in both Alabama and Washington.
New industry
With only one resource, the very common Magnesium, I can’t help but think our administration is not prioritising the new industry resources. This gives us a 10% national bonus and a maximum regional bonus of 10%.
Given the constraints of the Resource Wars, we may have to sacrifice the new industry to get stronger bonuses in the known industries.
Are you unhappy with how things are progressing? The potential for change is in your hands!
Listen to the DoD shouts and read their newspaper. Follow your MU orders - always always check before hitting. Sometimes we want to be losing battles, so we don’t earn a token before a key resource hits the pool.

Good luck!
i'm quite upset at the lack of your excitement over DEEEEEEEEER
Personally in over the moon. I make 8500 energy/day of food. Deer is awesome. 😃
That said, I'm in the minority. Most people want gunz 'n' gubbinz...
Good read!
At the beginning, people were flipping out. There wasn't much information
There still isn't...

Thanks a million. Reading your articles is the only way I can make sense of all this.
In the absence of an official press release about how the tournament works and an outline of our strategy, I might write my own. 😐
Does the country choose where to place their resources?
Yes. If you go to My Country (under the community menu, at the top right) you will see a bunch of tabs. One is labelled "Resource Wars" or something similar (I have a small screen, so it just shows "Res...").
On that tab you can see the resources we have claimed already as well as where (and in what priority) resources are being sought.
