Resource Wars II - Day 3092

Day 3,092, 17:56 Published in USA Canada by Ilene Dover

It seems our media has died off while we are all busy clicking that big red FIGHT! button. I guess there are so many things people can apply themselves too. Well, I’m out of energy for the moment so thought it was about time to take a look at how things are panning out in the Second Resource Wars.

In case you’ve all forgotten, this is what we’re playing for.

That is, all the region bonuses are going to be reassigned. Company productivity is going to change too, but that’s a different story for a different day.

So, there are only so many of the top tier bonuses to go around. And the top bonuses don’t necessarily go to the top countries. Timing has a whole lot to do with it. Click that big Resource Wars box on the left hand bar and then the Resource Pool button. Certain resources only become available at admin-determined times.

If we (or anyone, for that matter) win a token when there is nothing in the pool then we get what we deserve - nothing. Especially with 12 hours notification for all incoming resources...

How many resources are left in the world? I’m glad you asked.

There are some interesting observations to be made from the data:

1. Countries are grabbing the new resource in preference to all the others, although we haven’t seen a Cobalt or Neodynium resource hit the pool yet.

2. Weapons resources are the least popular at the moment, although that may be partly explained by the more powerful countries managing their domination points to grab the new resources in preference.

3. The first (and so far only) very rare weapons resource has gone to South America - well done Peru for screwing over everyone else in that part of the world!

4. The first (and so far only) very rare food resource has gone to Europe. Well done Portugal for building their food production so effectively

4. Very common resources are not being released in as great quantities as common resources. Perhaps we will see admin flooding the pool in the last week...

The question I know you’re all dying to know the answer to. How is the eUSA doing?

Not so good. And not so badly either. We have five resources so far (Day 3092):

1. Iron (very common weapons).
2. Fruits (common food).
3. Fish (very common food). Stacked with fruits means a 25% bonus already.
4. Magnesium (very common new)
5. Sand (very common housing).

Five resources is a good deal better than most so far (although the European powerhouses will only get nine or thereabouts). We haven’t snagged anything more difficult than a common resource. We have managed to get at least one bonus of each type, which isn’t anything to sneeze at.

If you’re not happy with how things are going, help out! Listen to the DoD shouts and read their newspaper. Follow your MU orders - always always check before hitting. Support our Resistance Wars (seriously, they’re like free money).

There’s a rubber (very rare weapons) and the first cobalt (rare new) resource hitting the pool in about 6 hours. And a deer (very rare food) coming in 11 hours. Let’s be ready! Unless you're prepared to admit the whole thing is based on luck.
