Presidential Approval Ratings
Erik Victor has recently published the results of a Presidential Approval Poll which states that 63% of the eUS population approve of president scrabman's performance. I can already hear people grumbling about the numbers of USWP people skewing the polls, but the poll also found that, even without respondents from USWP, 62% of non-USWP-affiliated respondents also approve of president scrabman's performance. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most effective, president scrabman recieved an average rating of 4 for effectiveness as a president. For June's election, 66% of respondents said they would vote for scrabman, with kyle321n coming in second at 16%, 6% for Emerick and 13% for other/none of the above.
The poll also concluded that just under half of the respondents believe that eUS taxes are too high, with most saying they are slightly too high.
As far as security is concerned, 59% of respondents also agreed that president scrabman is doing very well at keeping eUSA safe.

Admins respond to PTO of Germany
It has been discovered that there were Polish "multis" (individuals illegally creating multiple accounts) that were used in the recent congressional political take over (PTO) of Germany and these accounts have been "permabanned" (permanently banned) from eRepublik. Initial damage has been done to eGermany, but Germany now has the opportunity to try to reverse the damage done. Of concern is still the possibility of PTO in the upcoming presidential elections in June.

Thanks mjdiv for the work you're doing.
PEACE trolls fail. Let's start a charity so they can afford their own newspaper.
Are approval ratings part of the presidential agenda? Can we keep that just in the Civil Society rag, perhaps?
I did a poll in The Bezier Curve that got 51 respondents...the results are very similar. http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-poll-is-the-libertarian-party-dying--813604/1/20" target="_blank">http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-pol[..]/1/20
You really sent out a press release to let everyone know Scrabman is popular?
Wow.
definition of fingerguns: A(nother) Fed who can't stand scrabman and the USWP.
voted, just because of the germany info.
who cares how popular the pres is. he either does is job or he doesn't. We'll see election results soon enough.
I really don't trust those numbers
I'm confused why polling numbers are in an 'official' White House Press Release, yet Scrab posts policy in his paper. Seems kinda backwards.
Maybe scrab is just looking to boost his subs at his personal paper by releasing gov't info personally rather than from the press room? Or am I just another Fed who doesn't know what the hell he's talking about because he disagrees with Scrab?

@Tormo😛 Don't be so defensive. As Pfeiffer just pointed out, Scrabman is posting official policy information and official orders in his own paper and putting campaign fluff into official press releases. That is backwards.
I know he's proud of being a media mogul, but that's a rather dickish way to go about it. I understand the tactic he is using to win another term (he and he alone can save us), I just think he should put the country first. He is the president, afterall.
lol, you guys will grasp for anything to complain about~
lol, you guys will overlook anything
Nice work. 🙂 😃 🙂 😃
Mr Secretary, The President stated that if it looked like Germany would be wiped out by Poland and Sweden that the US military would intervene. With that in mind, is our military about to deploy overseas to defend Bavaria? If not, why not?
I wasn't polled!
If the numbers are accurate then I don't mind a poll update in the official briefing. Considering the fact that we've all leveled up exponentially since scrab took over and we haven't gotten into disastrous fumbling wars like we did under Uncle Sam, I'd say that those numbers probably are accurate and complaining about poll updates is like complaining about Obama's dog... which means all you conservatives should feel right at home.
Hey, Scrabman is full of win because he knows what he is doing and does it well!
A "pollster" is the person who conducts the poll. A "respondent" is the person who answers the questions in the poll.
Hey Mr. Press Secretary - You make Gibbs look good, and that's not so easy.
This is a bunch of crap.
Mr. Bayer -
You're absolutely right; I should know better 😛. It's been corrected 😃.
I still wish the president would address the citation with his involvement in wars that he banned.
However I do feel that he has done a good job economically. The defense systems make me sick to my stomach.
scrabman = foreign policy failure!
it seems to me that the news is what they want us to know and has little importance to anything.
