Mr.Iron this is your fault
Ive been tracking some prices since the eRepublik iron economy collapsed, approx one month ago, and now i got some time to write an article about it. This September 1st the iron prizes was exactly 0,24cc, and right now is 0,08cc, and continues dropping about 0,01cc every two days or three, so we can expect that tomorrow or this saturday the iron costs 0.07cc.
We can find that the Weapons Raw Material (Iron) prizes fall down by a 67% in less than a month.

Salaries are lower everyday too, we can see a drop on wages from 64cc this September 1st, to 12cc today. This is a really good moment for weapons company owners, they can find a very cheap iron, and salaries are really low too, so of course, thats the explanation of why we find a Q7 weapon at 20cc in the market, and even, if we travel, we can find it at 18cc or even less.
Salaries fall down by a 81% in less than a month.

But this is not an accident, the price of WRM incides directly on the Salaries. We can find some common movements on both graphics that clearly shows us that Iron prizes are afecting the salaries in our country.

With this we deduce that the Israeli economy is heavily dependent on the production of iron and weapons, much more than grain and food.
The problem is that the prize of Iron is determined by International prizes, and by the admins hands, and we can expect that continues falling down... but in the entire world the salaries are not so low as here in Israel, and they can continue falling a bit more. In USA the salaries are aprox 35cc right now because food and grain producction incides more than in our country, so they still have a small margin to decrease a bit more, but here, in eIsrael, wages have already reached the minimum, and with every cent that iron decreases, the iron producers will lost more and more money everytime without the possibility of doing nothing.
¿And some Knesset Members wants to set the minimum salaries on 20cc?
They are crazy, now more than ever this Article makes sense.
Wages are terrible and is the Iron`s fault.

I'm really worried about how the salaries go down... until 2 months ago I worked in USA and earned about 100 cc. Now I can barely earn a third of it...
There must be something to be done to give the cc it's real value again.
Doreen, i play this game since the bread and the guns were black and white, and believe me, the players cant do really much to fix countries economies. That highly depends on admins bot, and if there is any new feature that makes the players spend gold (Like new trainings, rockets, bazooka boosters, etc etc).
And i know u already know all that hehe.
Salaries will be 100cc again soon, but is the same, because the salaries grows, but with them, everything comes more expensive too...
So finally is the same lion with the same collar.
U can earn 100cc, but a Q7 tank will cost 50cc, and 1 gold will cost 1000cc.
And
U can earn 40cc, and a Q7 tank will cost 20 cc, and 1 gold will cost 570cc.
So see? Its everything the same... minor salaries means less cost of life.
Big salaries means everything expensive.
But in the middle of that change, just in the middle between the 10cc salaries and the 100cc salaries, there is a perfect zone, and then is when the bussinesmens really make money.

Very nice article but I still think you are missing one insight.
Unlike RL this is NOT an individual game.
Therefore capitalism and smart businessmen are not "wining" and this is not the aim of the game.
This is not about personal gain but about "producing" as much damage as possible then coordinating when and where it is inflicted
We all know that raw materials can only be sold at markets and are not consumed in battles.
In your analysis you have missed the prices of weapons.
I use a simple formula to see based on the price of WRM, salary and tax what would be the minimal price I can sell weapons and also how many weapons I need to sell to return my gold investments (wishful thinking it will never happen) currently I am not employing as the price of WRM is too high so it will still go down.
An efficient country would keep salaries to minimum.
Make sure the price of WRM is as low as possible including flooding the market with exports.
Most of the common produce (that's actually GDP) should then go to the other citizens and the rest to sell in the market aimed for foreign citizens (if it will be cheaper then other markets)
The government should also give money to producer to buy raw materials.
Yes, I know that's really communism but that's how admins built the rules.
Now you can feel free to tell me, I just started playing 4 months ago but try to think about it before you say that.

And well, i cant share your ideas because i deeply believe that communism in eRepublik its impossible.
Why do you find it impossible?
In real life it is against human nature, people want to achieve, be successful as individuals and consume more, as much as they can and not as much as they need.
In eRepublik the individual does not count, it is only countries that matter.
The player wants to improve himself so he can contribute more to the country.
Gold, money, weapons, food and everything else are used only to do damage in battles.
Communism is the most efficient government under these rules
Just so we are clear, this is one of the best if not THE best articles I've read for a long time here.
And I am a very hash critic and rarely give compliments.
Well, im part i agree with u, here the citizen plays for his country. But they wants more too, they wants more, even if they didnt need it because there is ALWAYS something to waste your money or your gold.
For example, if u have all your trainings grounds on Q4, your rocket factory on Q4, and a lot of companies (so u dont need to waste money on nothing because u already have all that built) u will find a way to waste gold, for example, training everyday, buying bazookas parts, more health...
etc etc, so there is always something needed in this game, u are never DONE. So yes, finally in this game, the end of all this is to help your country to achieve things, maybe... to conquer the world, and i agree with you in that, but i think that in the road to achieve that, u are always imporving your player, so u need to buy weps, raw materials, food, etc etc, so yes... maybe individual doesnt counts, but finally, are individuals who move the eRepublik economy.
And thats why i think communism is imposible in erepublik, just because the government has no tools to control the citizens, to control their companies, to control the market... so this game will be always a capitalist game. I dont know if u can understand me because my english isnt really good at this hour.

If it was not open for all article I would have explained how governments can have control over citizens, and I don't mean robots.
There is still a lot left for the individual but I don't see a reason to have a q4 rockets factory for yourself, the only thing you spend on and improve is to be more influencing in the battles and that's including your own RL money if you buy any gold.
