eNetherlands joining Asgard Interviews.

hey everyone,

after reading some misleading article's and seeing that there was not alot of discussion in eCanada on the topic of eNetherlands joining Asgard i decided to go strait to the source and ask the leadership of Asgard and all the CP's involved what they though of the subject.
below are the question and responses i got from them. if you wish you can also skip to the bottom where i will summarize what the general census is.

so here are the question's that were PM'd out:

Hey I’m sending this message to the CP’s of Asgard countries as well as the leadership of Asgard.
Simply stated I will be writing an article in eCanada showing the above stated people’s view on eNetherlands and why they think it would be a good/ bad fit in Asgard.
So the questions are this:

What are your personal views on eNL joining Asgard?

What do the people you associate with regularly feel about eNL joining Asgard?

Do you thing eNL would be a good fit in Asgard? Why or why not?



Obviously I’m not asking you to start a big fuss or rift in Asgard or eNL relations but I hope to sketch a picture for the people who are not in the higher government loops.

Hello!

To question One: I personally think that eNetherlands has a place among the nations of Asgard. This is so, because I believe that they share the same values of brotherhood, mutual respect and support that Asgard is build on. And because Asgard is a community of values (and not one of interests or power), it is only natural that eNetherlands should join Asgard.

To your second question: I associate with many people. The people in Asgard, the people in eNorway, the people in my party...All democratic and free-minded people in general. But since I am an eNorwagian, probably you would like me to answer and such. Therefore I would say that eNorway stays firmly behind the application of eNetherlads for membership in Asgard. We have a long-standing relations of mutual trust and friendship with the Duthc. They have been our pricipal allias for many many years. Back in the Old EDEN and later on. They have regularly and continuously fought for eNorway (and the other Asgard nations for that matter) even though they are not formally part of Asgard. And I say "not formally", because as I said, they share the values of the Brotherhood and therefore they are a part of it, no matter of whether their name stays along with those of eNorway, eSweden, eFinland, and eCanada.

To your final question: As evident from my first two responses, I do believe that eNetherlands would be not only a "good fit" to Asgard, but a great one! It is true that in terms of relative power we would rather lose than gain from getting eNethralnds on board. But it is also true that we cannot find a more friendly, trustworthy, and loyal nation than the Dutch. And if by joining them in we are sure to win some new enemies, we would certainly keep some good old friends. And this, to me, is that much more important. Because it is better, I believe, to lose should-to-shoulder with your friends, than to win along your enemies. Therefore if we are to stay true to what Asgard stands for; the mutual respect, help and friendship, all parts of the spirit of the brotherhood, we cannot do else but admit our friends from eNetherlands to Asgard. Not to forget that it would be so much more fun for the Vikings to charge at some new enemies, gain new glory and share some rich spoils. Even if we find ourselves at Valhalla at the end. Or maybe especially if we do so. Thank you for your attention and have a good day!

Thank you for your message.

As we are occupied we thought it was important to ask the community what they want. And from there we tried to become member.

We already have a good history with most of Asgard countries. Our closest allies are in this alliance. Therefor for us it’s a logical step to try to become member. We have now close friends in Asgard, next step will be to become brothers. My personal view is that best friends of Asgard are Netherlands, Ireland and Portugal.
And we need to either get them to Asgard or at least FOREVER keep them as friends.

All my supporters are pro-Netherlands in joining Asgard.

Yes. Dutch people are brothers and fit well in our alliance.

There's not much in eRepublik I've been more certain about, and nothing more important that comes mind, than the Dutch wishing to join us in Asgard.
I've probably been one of the greatest advocates for making this possible.
The Dutch players are very nice and Asgard, like the Netherlands, has always been one of Norway's closest Allies and friends.

So to your second question. The attitude, in Norway, towards NL joining us has always been good, but it has become even more positive, of late.

also, as can be seen from above, it seems very clear that the vast majority of Asgard believe that eNetherlands is a brother nation that will be welcomed with open arms. again i hope this article was useful to some of you and leave you by saying this,
