Dear Americans,
Dear members of the eRepublik community,

It has been almost a week since I stepped in office. It is a week which went by much faster than I expected. In this week we started the work of the administration, went into several discussions – internally within the Cabinet; at Pacifica level; and with a few of our occupiers. I will tell you all about it now.

(1) The Mass (National) Strikes

This month we will be running them on a schedule: Saturday 15 erep, Wednesday 9 erep and Thursday 12 erep. This means that so far we have had 3 common strikes! Korosh did a great job organizing the first one where we had dozens of Americans to take place. As a thank you for participating, he and I funded some COs for all Americans who took part! Please note down these three times in your diaries and try to take part in as many as possible. This will have a direct and positive impact on our future fighting chances. Also, in the absence of a national army (e.g. USAF), this is as good as it gets when it comes to national military organisation. To join the mass strikes, make sure you are online on Discord (a free instant messaging service where most of the USA players are).

(2) EPIC Battles

The next thing which our magnificent Minister of War organized was an EPIC battle with Hungary on Tuesday. On the same day there were more than 30 EPIC battles in total. The reason for that is countries want to enable their fighters to progress far into the weekly challenge. We want this too. Because the better we do, the more energy bars we can earn, the more medals and rank points. I strongly advise all to take a look at Tuesday’s WHPR and make their own strategy. If you are regenerating 60-70 energy per 6 minutes from Wednesday onward, you can easily bag another 10,000 prestige points. This will give you an award of 100+ energy bars. If you invest these on a Tuesday when fighting in an EPIC, your starting point is a better one (e.g. 5-7k PPs) and then you can reach 15,000 PPs or even more before the end of the week. Then you profit even more EBs!!! So, depending on your stats (energy pool and energy regeneration), you can profit hundreds of EBs per week. Please note, your strength, rank or hit are not part of this 🙂

This was the first time I was a party to organising an EPIC. It is remarkably easy and doesn’t cost us national resources. At least not in the lower Divisions. We know with certainty how much damage is needed for a battle in a specific division to reach EPIC status and we divide this between us and our partner country – in this case Hungary. The next step is to invite a strong hitter who can enable our players to do as much damage as possible. And in these lower divisions there are players who are stronger than me! You should read Feynmann's guide from yesterday for more elaborate explanation of this. So, division 1 is very easy to organise because, 20 of us on both sides can do our food fights from the first minute and the battle will be EPIC within 5-10 minutes! Of course, the most benefit for most players will be in division 4 but unfortunately we aren’t strong enough to organise an EPIC there… So, for now we will stick to division 1 for EPICs. Some countries organise them in the middle divisions – 2 and 3, because they have dozens of strong players in these divisions. These players regularly buy the IK pack and stay in those lower divisions forever.

For all of you stuck in division 4, every Tuesday Serbia organises a D4 epic with either Chile or Italy. Depending on the partner it usually starts at 02:00 eRep time or 06:00 eRep time. Please check the National feed and discord for actual information on the D4 Epic!

(3) International Developments

Finally, I will address a few foreign affairs topics. On the first day of this term, Mexico informed Pacifica and the world of its decision to leave the alliance. Mexico is a key country on our southern border and we have always shared a relationship with them. This is also one of the reasons we were very happy when they joined Pacifica in the first place! Looking forward, I’ve made it known to them that I support them in this decision and we remain allies.

At the same time, Colombia, another long term friend of ours, has been making efforts to liberate themselves from the Bulgarian occupation they have found themselves into. Our own relationship with Bulgaria is very difficult as well. While we have an open communication channel, it hasn’t been very productive yet. I will use the next weeks to reach an agreement for what form of relationship our countries want to have between each other (if any) and then we will take it from there. I really hope we can agree on something which will also benefit our ally, Colombia.
