Your Questions Answered Ohio

Day 700, 18:23 Published in USA USA by GoBucks

Ohioans,

I am back, yet again, to ask for your vote. As time has gone on my policies have not changed drastically. Just yesterday, I posted an article in order to open up discussion and inform Ohioans about their request for me to seek a hospital, that is the hot-topic issue for many Ohioans, and though I may not satisfy your desire for a hospital, please still take the time to read my entire platform, before you make your decision on whether or not to support myself.

Thank you all so very much for endearing support, messages and praise over the past months, I truly would not be able to do this without you, the voter. As always, I will be glad to hear your opinions below, it is your criticism and input that have made me the person I am today.

Now, to get down to the point of this article, my platform in a Q&A Format:

A Hospital in Ohio?
After opening discussion with several individuals in Congress and individuals involved in the Federal Gov't it is very clear to me that a hospital in Ohio would not only be selfish, it would have the potential to jeopardize the safety of our nation as a whole. While we are part of the nation too, you must realize that it was the nation as a whole that helped reconquer Ohio, if it were just Ohioans fighting we would have never been able to overcome enemy forces, therefore in our thinking we must think not of ourselves but of our neighbors as well.

Though a hospital is a very attractive option for a candidate, I can not go against my nation as a whole, doing so would be disloyal to the very people who protect us. I think Eugene, himself, put it best, "A hospital for Ohio doesn't make sense for the game."

I hope you all understand this decision and realize it is not always about Ohio, but it is about America and if there is no America than there will be no Ohio. We must put America first if we want to endure the struggles of time.

Do Ohioans Still Have a voice?

As made clear in the hospital article, I am willing to be a voice for Ohioans. Though, I did not agree entirely with the placement of a hospital in Ohio, I still took your thoughts and concerns to the government, as many of you requested. I am willing to advocate for your opinions so as long as it does not hamper the efforts of the US Government. The request for a hospital has now been dropped as it is clear that such a purchase would not help our nation, as a whole. Beyond the article, I took your claim to Congress and they share the same opinion as myself and the eUS Gov't & Military Officials. I hope it is clear that I am willing to advocate for you, as it is my duty as a Congressman.

You were transparent, the response was not all good, will you continue to be so?

The whole purpose of being transparent in a task is so that the general populace can bring their personal qualms regarding the task to the attention of those in power. In fact, I published that article so everyone could get a just representation of both sides of the opinion. Though a few of the comments could be construed as trolling, the majority of them were constructive criticism, and as I early mentioned, it is such criticism that has made me who I am today.

Will you lower taxes?

(I have answered this question numerous times before, rather than rewriting the same answer, I will copy it from a past article)

In my experience as a 9 time Congressman I have learned many important things. One of which is to support the economic council. They have always suggested the correct level of tax at the correct times, and never have they led us astray. Over the months I have come to realize that arguing about taxes gets us no where. Though, I may seem all trusting of the Economic Council I do realize people make mistakes, in that event I am sure the EC would speak up but if not, and I realize the taxation levels are to high then I will work towards a different level of taxes.

My main reasoning for advocating a medium level of taxation can be seen below:

"The average American makes $9.14 a day and that amounts to $274.20 in 30 days. Now with a 20% tax rate, the average America pays $54.84 in taxes every 30 days. Now as long as that same average American works all 30 days of the month he will be blessed with a gift of 5 gold, or $260, nearly 5 times the amount the average American pays in taxes and an abounding amount of money to survive each month."

What do you think of the military

The military exists as one of the primal components of our nation and of this game. The military aspect makes up 33% of this game (The other two thirds being politics and media/social interaction). To not support the military would be to simply be going against the essence of this game. Not to mention the military has saved us when we were down more times than I care to admit. They are the true saviors of our nation and our praise should go to them.

I have served in four branches of the armed forces, each experience within the branches has been rewarding and there I have met a multitude of fine individuals. The military has some of the best and the brightest of eAmerica, if not of the eRepublik Community. I am very proud to serve alongside these fine individuals, and I will continue to do so.

What do you do for the new players?

At one point in my ER career I was the Director of Citizens' Affairs, there I learned the supreme importance of new player education. I continue to assist where needed and do my best to reach out to Ohioans in need. Only several days ago I extended a helping hand out to all Ohioans through a large mass-mailing effort. Through this I met many wonderful individuals and stand to still help out those that are in need.

Thank you so much for reading through my platform. Reflecting back on the past month I can easily recall many high points of Congress and I always remember that none of those wonderful moments would have been possible without the undying support from you. So once again, thank YOU!
