Your new constitution - and something constructive to do, lego perhaps

Day 861, 05:52 Published in Ireland Singapore by Tommy Aquinas

I’m Tommy Aquinas. I grew up in eIreland but left to travel cos I was sick of the fighting and arguing all the time. Guess what, it got worse. I still follow the Irish news, and it’s pretty laughable at the moment. So I said I’d help my old country out but giving them this article. I joined your forum, looked at your “constitution” and “laws”, cut the crap and here I am presenting it to you now. It took around 30 minutes, compared to your days and weeks and months of in-fighting and complaining. Sometimes having an objective voice can help, and I got a bit sick of watching you fight, so I said I'd do the work for you. Feel free to vote and subscribe.

Your forums are a bit messy. From what I gather, you only have about four laws that are worth keeping: War Council, Ceann Comhairle, Dail activeness signin thingy and the voting procedure. Everything else, is just policy of your cabinet or previous cabinets. That should be looked at, revised and plonked somewhere in your congress for people to improve in the future.

And without further ado, here’s your revised constitution, lol! For those who flinch at the thought of law, I put the short simplified version above it to tell you what it means. So if you disagree with anything, let it be the short version. Although it's not complicated at all, and it doesnt mean total anarchy like that funny article the other day said. Anyway, troll away folks?

Short simple version:

*You’re Irish and you can’t break the rules of the game.
*You’re Irish, so ye use the names TD and Taoiseach.
*You have to be Irish to be the Taoiseach, you can’t be President forever, and don’t let someone rob all your stuff in an invasion.
*The President looks after the cabinet, unless someone is really p****d off with either the cabinet or the President.
*The congress discusses stuff, votes and takes action. And ye decide the rules of how everything is decided yourselves. But stick to the rules.
*If you have a knob in your nation, find a way to deal with him.
*Feel free to change it.

Defunct and over with

Everything else. I include IDF, war games, alliance stuff (did you know you observe at Sol?) and company plans and stuff in that as surely you’ll change everything around for V2. Here’s your clean slate fellows. Keep what’s good.
Idea for scrapping all your supreme court stuff and replacing it with a working idea:

Ideas

Why doesn’t someone go back over the dail stuff for the last few months, pick out the ideas that might still be relevant and decisions which need to be made re army/companies/V2, type them up in an article entitled “Ireland’s to-do-list” and work on them together from there. Everything else – all Dáil stuff, archives, laws, the works – just move them all into a corner of the forums and don’t think of them again. So you’ll have a fresh start, and a fresh set of challenges to overcome together. That means you can use the last days of this lost month for eIreland, and be ready to hit the ground running next month.

That’s all from me folks,

Tommy
