Del término francés "cravate", aquel pañuelo que llevaban anudado al cuello los soldados croatas allá por el siglo XVII, ha pasado a ser un simbolo impresicindible de elegancia y distinción.

Coloca la corbata alrededor del cuello dejando el extremo más ancho a la derecha y más largo que el estrecho.
Place the tie around the neck leaving the widest end to the right and longer than the narrow one.
1. Pasa la parte ancha a la izquierda por debajo del extremo estrecho.
Pass the wide part to the left below the narrow end.
2. Cruza la punta más ancha de nuevo a la derecha por encima del la estrecha e introdúcela, de abajo hacia arriba, por la abertura entre el cuello y la propia corbata.
Cross the widest point again to the right over the narrow one and insert it, from bottom to top, through the opening between the neck and the tie itself.
3. Estira del extremo más ancho y ponlo dentro del medio nudo que se ha creado.
Hold the knot tightly and stretch slightly upwards until it fits around the neck
4. Sujeta bien el nudo y estira ligeramente hacia arriba hasta ajustarlo al cuello

La corbata es un nudo en el cuello. No hay más preguntas señoría.
Uso corbata desde los 6 años, el nudo comun para el diario y algunos especiales segíún las circunstancias.

...hablando en serio: Depende de las circunstancias, es bueno usar corbata. En un empleo RL, o cuando te casas, aplica. Pero para otras cosas, no (ej.: cuando vas a jugar quemados).
