WSR - We gave it back, but did we do the right thing?

I think yes.

There are many aspects lets see a couple of them.

Western Siberia is one of the richest region in high resurces. It was a big pride, to own this region. There were glorius battles for acquireing it. We spend hundreds of gold in the battles, and fought side by side with other allied countries to get it. WSR was a big trophy, for the most poverfull country in eRepublik.
We can say now, why give it back, after so much trouble?
Russia was weak back then, run over by leading countries. Now things has changed. Russia is now the second bigest country in the eWorld, with nearly twice as many citizen like Indonesia, and in matter of time Russia will have more experience points to. It isn’t good for an alliance if the members of it have tension among them. In time these tensions coud lead to agression, and these agression coud distroy many frendships. Some can feel now, that with this move the glorious days of Indonesia are over now, but they think it wrong. These days just started now. Indonesia just showed it's generosity, and only leading countries can afford this kind of actions. With giving WSR back, Indonesia showed how good friend and allay she is.

The loss of the high resources can’t hurt neither. We have high oil in Sumatra, and high iron in Karnatka. One high region is more then enough for a country, because it can support any number of companies. On the other hand we lost our only high wood region, but wood isn’t one of the most important raw material. The lack of it can be solved easy by lovering the import tax. Moreover it can be incentive, to get a new one. There is high wood in Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, Paraguay, Malaysia, Peru. I don’t say we soud attack them at all, but later if we get bored without fight, the lack of wood can be a good reason to do it.

It can do good for the economy to. Yesterday i made some research. The Indonesian market suffers big. There are only a few goods which can be sold with profit, because there is a big overproduction. There were 2698 companies in Indonesia and 754 were functioning (had at least 6 workers) . 711 of them were in WRS and 204 produced properly. Now these 204 companies are in Russia, we get rid of nearly 30% of our producion (most of it is iron). The General Managers can profit with this change. The NBI buys the companies on a fair price. It is good, because the owners of closed companies, can get their money back too, and can do something else with it. But it is stongly reconsiderable to start new ones in Indonesia. If somebody will not sell the company, then the NBI will pay for the market licence and a compensation. Russia is constantly growing, maybe the market is, or will be better there.

Overall i think it was a good decision, but in time we will see, what comes out of it.

I am glad, we gave WRS back to Russia and i am proud to be an eIndonesian citizen!
