World Tour Version 2.0

Day 840, 09:30 Published in USA USA by NeilP99

Greetings my fellow Americans! For the first time in several months I can say that as an official citizen on the eUS! You see, given the recent, and unfortunate, events in South Africa I’ve been forced to leave my Southern Hemisphere home sooner than I had planned, if only a few days sooner. While I’m deeply upset by the tragedy that has befallen South Africa, I have no doubt that the country will persevere and liberate itself someday, the way it has many times before. But right now I need to cheer myself up, get myself remembering the parts of eRepublik that I like most, and try yet again to get closer to that elusive Media Mogul medal that I desire. How am I going to do all that? Well with a World Tour of course!

For those of you unfamiliar with what I mean by a World Tour let me explain. Many many months ago (Maybe even a year ago by now) I found myself unsure of what I wanted to do. So I decided to travel the eWorld a bit. These were the days before citizenship, when moving from country to country would allow you all the rights of the citizens of those countries. I met lots of fun people, some of whom I’m still friends with today. All along the way I wrote articles about the places I visited in an attempt to teach the average citizen of the eUS more about the eWorld. I conducted interviews with Presidents and other important people to try to get more insight into the views of other eNations. All in all it was pretty fun, and pretty well received, and since then I’ve done other World Tours.

There is one difference about this World Tour that I hope my readers will like. You see, with all the talk from the admins about how the new economic module will be all about customization I was thinking. Why not let my readers customize my World Tour? So with that I present World Tour model 2.0! By filling out this:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEE5bkZVTlVTcGpJYThkX2xreDlEWVE6MA

Google Documents form you can tell me where you’d like me to go next. Two days after I publish each Tour article I’ll check to see where you’d like me to go most, and I’ll hit the road. Places that I’ve already visited on past World Tours may be ignored if they’re selected, depending on how dramatic any changes in that country have been since I was last there. That’s about all for now, so start suggesting places for my first stop, subscribe so you don’t miss out on the fun, and as usual, thanks for reading.

For My Long Time Readers:
Some of you may have noticed that the name of my paper has changed. Originally I named my paper ‘The Wire’ with the thought of the old journalistic expression, “This hot off the wire”. After thinking about it I realized that I don’t really write breaking news articles often anymore, and I’ve really become more of an opinion paper, so I decided to change the name. The new name reflects the contemplative tone that I think many of my articles now take, and comes complete with a picture that I took over this past summer. Hope you enjoy it, and not to worry, the basic content of this paper isn’t going to change.

UPDATE:
Due to the lack of responses to my Google form I've decided to cancel this World Tour. Sorry for those of you who were looking forward to it. I hope to come up with a new idea for a series of articles in the next few days.
