With regards to a recently released Phoenix banner

Some of you may have seen a recent Phoenix banner depicting logos made for the use of representing different nations in the alliance. This has been quite controversial due to the inclusion of the full island of Ireland, not just Northern Ireland as part of the United Kingdom's territory. As Phoenix Envoy, I feel it appropriate for me to write an article explaining the reasoning behind this and calm any fears that you as a citizen may have.
Poster In Question:
Immediately after seeing said banner, I messaged Stefan1992 (UK MoFA), Mr Woldy (UK President) and Burakkocamis (Phoenix Sec-Gen) asking them if this was a mere mistake or declaration of intent. I have only received replies from Woldy and Stefan so far but hopefully I will receive a reply from Burak in the coming few days or so and I will update this article or, if needs be, release a second article with his statement regarding the situation.
Here are the replies I got:

"Ireland is a neutral nation, and as far as I know has no affiliation with Phoenix. Perhaps they meant to say Northern Ireland."
Mr. Woldy
"Ja, I saw that, I didn't really want to mention it to whoever made it, incase they'd gone through extreme lengths to draw them up, however you're not at any risk of us invading you"
As we can see, the UK has absolutely zero intention of in anyway shape or form threatening our sovereignty and I hope that while these statements are brief, they are somewhat effective in calming any worries that you may have. I have asked Woldy to request that the banner be changed to remove the Republic from the UK's logo and hopefully this will be done in due course.
I would also like to bring up the point of Maddog Jones, a South African citizen who posted an article in the Irish Media. Maddog was a former congressman of the UK and he attempted to steal several companies from the Ministry of Trade due to being upset about losing an election. He is nothing but an idiotic troll and his opinion on this situation should not be taken as Gospel due to his main goal in eRep being to spite the UK.

@Navy I really wouldnt be worried, Phoenix have no reason to invade us and I'm positive it was just a mere mistake on behalf of the artist.

@John Gormley I know its hard to just accept that its a mistake with an alliance of this nature but I think its fairly clear from Woldy's statement that its just a mistake. I wouldnt be worried if I were you.
@Bryan Well hopefully it will be removed as quickly as possible. I asked Woldy to bring it up at the next best time and I'm positive that there will be no problem with its removal. As you can see, the artist did put a lot of effort into it.

I agree the Banners are nice, I don't think the Artist had any intent. The other logos do not have any prerogative so it looks like it was mismanaged, not artistic rendition.

@Grainne I have done the best I can which is to go through the appropriate channels which is that of our best ally in the alliance (the UK) and the sec-gen of the alliance himself. I also was on the Phoenix Public channel inquiring about this so I think I have done a fair amount.

That's exactly what I figured. No drama necessary, as Grainne said. As I mentioned in the South African idiot's article, you can put the entire world under a British flag and it wouldn't make a difference. It's just a design, not a declaration of war.
I can accept it as a mistake. I'm just saying that it's a pretty awful mistake.

I have to say the artist made a mistake probally didn't learn any Irish-UK history so theres nothing to worry about,

Meh. I'm sure they were too lazy to find a proper icon. It was easier just to put that and hope no one noticed. Certainly not a declaration of war. I wouldn't waste any more time on this.

It is clearly just a mistake from an uneducated artist and not meant to be a threat or insult, so could everyone please keep their hats on and remain in their seats.

Not worried that it means anything as regards any intent, but come on its just plain wrong and should be changed immediately.
I dont think it would have taken that much effort to do it right. In fact wouldnt it have taken a lot less effort not to include the island of Ireland at all if it was too dificult for him/her.
I accept the argument that the artist may have been uneducated on the matter, but surely it would have had to get the approval of someone who does know better before it was officially unveiled.
Get rid of it NOW!
