With Grace

Day 876, 12:20 Published in Austria Switzerland by Lynari

Austria is a very different nation than the one I left three months ago. Alfred Ball was President, and you’ve seen five Presidents since him. The parties I’m familiar with no longer exist. Austria had all its regions. I do not even know who the public is that I’m writing this to.

To those of you who have no idea who I am: I was President of this nation between June and September of 2009, and took on the roles of Minister of Justice, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chief of Staff in the months thereafter. I took a break from Austrian politics by fighting the takeover in Switzerland for two months, but that too was tiring, and after announcing that I would be leaving Switzerland, I took a month-long intermission of inactivity before returning to Austria.

To those of you who remember me: I’m here to help how I can. Humble tasks, I mean - I’ll be another trustworthy voter, voice an occasional opinion, etc. Presently, I do not intend to take on any major responsibility. I have no desire to frustrate myself to such a degree again.

To those of you I know from my past who will comment on this article with your petty, stupid insults: go ahead. They accomplish nothing but prove their authors are petty and stupid.

In other words, I’m back. Thanks to Borojevic for citizenship.
