Why we love eRepublik

I haven't written an article in awhile, and just wanted to get this out.

For me, I love eRepublik because of one thing: it's simplicity. I love the fact how you can go in for two seconds, understand the game on your first day, and take a minute to play and keep growing into something larger. However, if you want, you can go more into depth. You can become a congressman, run for president, join national forums, and become involved in the community. You get to choose your destiny, what you want to do, even if it's two clicks a day, and not fall behind an inch.

With the new economics and military modules, it feels as if they're taking something away. eRep's simplicity. It's forcing you to become involved in the community, forces you to spend more time on eRep, and takes away the fact you can come in, click twice a day, and not lose a beat. I fear it's going to scare away the new citizens, with it's complexity, and new players would be like "too hard, next game?" Not only that, it's not like anybody's complaining about the simplicity. The eRep team is forcing it upon us when most of us are content with the current module and wouldn't want to swtich to a whole new game.

It feels like going from two clicks a day to at least a half hour per day to add on to a busy schedule. It's like spending more time than you have to do.

Well, that's what I think. Let me know in the comments - what do YOU think?
