Why vote for an SDP Candidate ? Here are a few good reasons...

What was the SDP ? What should it be ?

I'm writing this out as e😜arty president expressing myself from a private point of view. In no way is this an official article.
We aren't against any particular party, but we have reasons for being on the scene and running in elections.

Why was the SDP founded ? In what frame of mind ?

The SDP emerged when I joined the party a few months ago. The change in hospital rules had left many of the least wealthy and youngest citizens in a dire healthcare state. Noboby can really say it is the governments fault, they are not to blame for the change in rules. Yet they are responsable for the nation and mainly for their citizens.

The party was then composed of three members, a forth when I joined, and half were inactive. In a context of poor healthcare, we decided to take some basic measures to help our party members. Some might say this was selfish, and the leaders of much larger parties pointed this out. In absolute moral terms it might seem accurate to point that out. Yet it was really a decision based on means, two private citizens who had barely started their eLife don't have the ressources of a state at their disposal.

We set up a housing programme to get affordable housing without the fear of being scammed. I remember when I started out in the game, I had saved up for my first house and got scammed of my savings. At the time wages were really low and it took some time and effort to build up a good sum to buy a house. I thought a real estate agency owned by the party dealing houses would avoid all SDP members from being scammed. Almost four months later a vast majority of housing demands have been met by the SDP Real Estate Programme, and there haven't been any complaints.

But housing was only a medium to long term solution to the healthcare crisis, and with our limited means we set up healthclinics for our members. In return for a decent wage, staff would get part of their gift production given to them to increase their wellness. Over the past four months, we have handed out through that method over a 100 gifts a day. If you take the time to make a quick estimate, that is around 9000 to 12000 wellness points the SDP has managed to give the British population.

The main objection is that we aided mainly SDP members, but yet again, I would like to underline the fact that the initiative came from a few private citizens, not a state getting tax money. Did this really help the eUK on the whole ? Probably not, but we tried. Would you ask a doctor to stop treating patients because death still exists in the world ? I think not.

Housing and Healthcare is one of the policies SDP has put fowards and I think it has shown that it works.

The SDP has also been centred on EDUCATION. We have reached out to many new citizens to provide them usefull advice on fighting, healthcare and housing.

I often heard as an objection that we didn't know all the "game mechanics" but we did what we could with our own knowledge.

The party was founded because on our grassroots level we realized some things needed to be done. We can't blame it on the state, but there are some aspects that can be sometimes overlooked. The ministers can't push on a button and solve all the problems. Somethimes they need people in the community to go out and take care of individual problems with adapted solutions. That is what the SDP did.

I tried to set up an internal feedback system so the concerns of everyday citizens would be something all the party was aware of, and tried to solve.

This was the spirit the SDP was founded in, and grew up in. The SDP was a party founded by new citizens for new citizens.

I think this approach was well accepted by the British, because in that month our membership boomed from 4 to 188. Becoming on of the top 5 parties. Many claim it was the fall of other parties that helped us appear out of the blue. I care to differ on that point, nothing happens by accident. Especially when it is that big, if other parties fell and we emerged, it is because people wanted it.

What about SDP today ?

I'm really concerned, The SDP has not really progressed in terms of membership in a large way, and it seems they have given up on the "grassroots" approach that made this party what it is. It is rare that I see the few members on the last pages be active. This is a shame because the party was mainly created to help them the most.
I still run the companies set up along side the party, yet some of the candidates running in the last internal election completely ignored that this was a basic aspect of the party.

Care and concern for the basic citizen should be at the core of the party, and it's acts. you can't expect to win any election without popular support, and you can't get popular support when ignoring the population. This is one of the biggest flaws of UKRP and Spectrum. This can easily explain their decline in recent times. On the other hand, parties like PCP have dealt with this and are going from strength to strength.

For me, the big distance between SDP and the third spot is explained by the way the party has turned away from it roots.

All the discussions have been around elections, and the handfull of people wanting those seats. They aren't evil, but they have grown out of touch with the population they seek to represent.

Even though when I set this party into motion, I said I would never run in congressionnal elections, I am. Why am I doing so ? Because I believe that it is the only clear way to get a message across to the party, and the few who consider that elections are more important than the party. Without your party, you can't win any election. The party comes first.

In the coming days, I have proposed to the party, to add on top of our healthcare and housing programme, a full education programme, with tutors and Q1 weapons at 1 GBP for party members taking part in courses.

I expect all elected SDP members to put an effort into that new policy, with their time and Congress rewards.
Maybe we might as far as to offer guns to younger citizens who accept to follow some sort of education to game basics.

I would also like some sort of apology from those that mocked Ross by PM, who left for the UKRP, because he wanted to raise the minimum wage. I really would expect that behavior in other parties, but not in the SDP. Never forget what it is like to live on 1 GBP a day !

I want SDP members to work on collective projects to iprove the life of our daily citizen, elections are just a tool towards realizing our goals, not the finishing target.

That's why I ask every eUK citizen to cast a vote for SDP candidates inthe upcoming election.

Thank you.

And now for a vision of paradise :
