Why RightCon Failed
Mattoze5
In the last two voting sessions (Presidential and Congressional) a group of right winged parties including the Nationalist Party, the Federalist Party, the American Right Party, the Libertarian Party, and the Conservative Party formed a unified group called RightCon (Right Winged Convention). They had one unified and dedicated purpose: the spreading of right winged ideas and values in multipartisanship. They met on the 18th of April on IRC channel #rightcon and discussed how to work together in the following elections. In the end all was settled and the Libertarians would support minor party candidates for congress with their own while respecting the seats of the CVP. No right winged party was going to step on the other’s feet. However, in the assignments for congressional seats came the failure that cut the Achilles tendon.
I, myself, was unable to be as close to rightcon as I had wished, although I was very busy during the weeks prior and of the congressional elections. I attended the first meeting where the presidential nominee (Kyle321n) was chosen, but I did not attend the congress assignment meeting. Because of this I cannot explain exactly how or what happened, but I can tell you why. I didn’t become active again until around the 28th so I missed a lot of the specifics that occurred to bring down the alliance. In fact, other than the poor congressional results, I had no clue that it had went down at all. It wasn’t aware until I noticed the lack of support for Kyle321n by supposed right winged parties. In my opinion, the main reason that RightCon failed, believe it or not, was lack of good communication. With no set assignments until four days beforehand and unclear motives by Erep players, confusion and lack of cooperation (by a very small few) led to the clashing of RightCon Parties in a few incidences on the 25th. A lot of this could have been looked over with the alliance continuing on to the 5th, but when the anger and frustration set in, especially with the bad ending results for congress, the alliance crumbled. What followed was lack of support for Kyle321n and his loss of the presidency.
Now I realize a great sense of nationalism has struck the eUSA, captivating great support for Scrabman. This is most likely the reason why he won the presidency for a third time with such great success, rather than the failure of RighCon. But I know that not every eAmerican feels this way. I am not condoning partisanship or ideological separation, but I am trying to create cooperation while remind everyone that there is more than just one side. RightCon failed because people were already frustrated and once they lost hope, there was no chance. Even now, anyone with a different opinion feels that they must get on the bandwagon or get left behind. I know I’ve felt it in Congress, and I’m sure many eCitizens out there feel the same way. This is where the solution to RightCon comes in.
First of all, the main solution is not giving up. Anyone who knows me in RL knows that I am not a quitter and that I always stick up for the little man/underdog/minority. One great proposal would be to start RightCon again, but this time, learn from the mistakes of the past and working towards keeping well organized. All it takes is one good run. Another part of the solution is to not keep quiet: If there is discontent with the current administration or Congress, let it be heard; not necessarily because I or anyone else wants to hear it, but because this is a free eCountry and it needs to be said. There is still time to listen to others and take serious consideration in what they say. Don’t forget it is the person behind the keyboard who counts most of all 😉
God Bless the eUSA,
God Bless America,

I'm not upset that RightCon didn't perform well last month at all. We should conduct a meeting to examine what happened and what went wrong, and pick up and fix the broken parts. I believe in RightCon, and I'll be willing to help.
To think theres this much to eLife is surprising, to make the most ouf of the issues and step back, see the progress, then enjoy the glory.
The American Right Party was unaware that there was a second meeting of RightCon (the congress assignment). We were not informed or invited.
The right wing parties should merge and take back the government
I consider myself a moderate Federalist and I would view the Federalist party itself as acceptably moderate so I'm not privy to the idea of uniting the parties under a right wing umbrella as it would squeeze me out.
@Joseph: You would consider yourself a moderate Federalist. You would view the Federalist party as an acceptably moderate party. Further, the Federalist party was a active participant in RightCon (success or fail matters none, they were a part to it).
Consider my interpretation: You would only be squeezed out if you were uninterested or uninformed. You seem to be the type that's interested, so my guess is that you simply didn't know it was happening, which is fine... some people did, some people didn't -- which I generally think is what Mattoze5 is getting at. These folks really are wanting to find what happened and set the gears better for next time.
RightCon may be a majority of right-wing folks, but they're hardly turning away folks for being only slightly right of center.
I believed in the right con. I was not here to see it through and help with it, but I wished it had worked. I do not like scrabman, and I believe that if we can fix the problems in teh RightCon than we can, and will, be able to win elections
I was the person who first come up with and contacted other parties about rightcon, not to toot my own horn. So I'll say this. Rightcon was essentially an experiment. There were no binding obligations, and the name itself is a misnomer because even the UIP was contacted concerning it(rightcon just sounded cool). The ultimate stated goal was not necessarily to "win" any election but rather to insure that quality candidates were elected. It also was to serve as a forum for those who wanted to see more party cooperation. Though I think in some respects we did not do a great job I would not call rightcon a failure. As I said it was an experiment, nothing like it has ever been tried before. Considering we kinda just pulled it all together in a few days it worked pretty well. Furthermore all the participating party members and especially organizers like myself learned a number of lessons to be applied to future efforts.
A go0d article Matooze. voted!
In my mind, the right needs one party name in which all all right parties funnel into. This would eliminate confusion of not knowing who to vote for. Secondly, it would create one huge party in which the number of members alone would attract more members, in my mind this has been the success of the Workers, everyone wants to be in the biggest party.
