Why is EDEN losing in Europe?

Day 759, 14:09 Published in Canada Canada by Gaidal Cain
Answer: diverted firepower from where it matters

EDEN is in much worse position then it was during WW3, while Phoenix lost its dead weight and can now harness its full damage where it matters.

Spain invasion of France and Polish of Germany complicated things, these moves on the part of EDEN I believe put the alliance in a much worse position. France & Germany are minor countries, and not key players in Phoenix, unlike Spain & Poland in EDEN. Spain is in much better situations then Poland since they have no important MPP activated against them, so French counter-attack will almost certainly fail. However, Poland was not as wise. Poland activated all key Phoenix MPPs with their invasion, hoping those countries would be too distracted to help Germany. They were right in the beginning, however first battles don´t win wars, as it stands Germany can counter-attack and take back it´s regions almost anytime. Even worse if Poland is too stubborn to lose the taken regions and fights to hold them, Phoenix civilians can keep entire Polish army busy and drain their money, while Phoenix armies concentrate on more important things.

EDEN & Phoenix are pretty evenly matched.
So it comes down to surprise attack and which side can draw away more 2 clickers from the critical battle, which is Turkey vs Greece right now, and as it stands its definitely Phoenix that wins.

See to draw away 2 clickers you need to start a battle or resistance war in one of the main countries in eRep, these countries are
EDEN: USA, Romania, Spain, Croatia, Poland
Phoenix: Hungary, Russia, Indonesia, Serbia.

Phoenix learned this lesson in WW3. Hungary got rid of all its unimportant regions that were used before to block and draw away damage, so did Russia. Hungary is the superpower of eRep at the moment, no one can win 1on1 against them. By droping it´s unimportant occupied lands they became a cordinated damage dealing machine, to divert their firepower you would have to hit their original region activating tons of MPPs or the high iron fortress in China, costing 1200g. So other then starting a resistance war in Brazil or Indonesia, EDEN can do nothing.

EDEN actually is in terrible shape, tons of Spain damage can be got rid of by having France attack some of its taken regions, same can be done in Poland by Germany, and in Croatia by Slovenia, also Brazil attacking Australia or resistance war in USA held Chinese region gets rid of a lot of USA firepower.

So unless EDEN really coordinates and makes some sacrifices, the battles in Turkey will go nowhere. Also when Turkey hits back on Greece and with Phoenix lauching all diversion attacks mentioned above, Greece once again can easily end up off the map.

Now, as for the USA march into Asia it´s completely separate from everything else going on. It could have been done without the wars in Europe. Iran has no hope to keep regions when USA attacks, and neither can Indonesia, not with all those MPPs activated. Yes if Phoenix calls in all troops to help and spends tons they can delay the process for a few days, but this will not change the final outcome and will only drain the countries gold. Like it happened when Indonesia tried to hold California at such massive cost that second time they just didn´t bother to fight. I don´t think USA has the damage to kick Hungary out of China, maybe if they take out Indonesia and Iran held regions first, then call all of EDEN for help Phoenix might come out losing, but I defenitely think it won´t be on the first try. Hungary is a monster that will take many attempts, suprise and luck to defeat.

My opinon
EDEN should have finished off things in Asia first, this would have weakend Phoenix so much that any campaign in Europe would be an easy walk in the park.
