Why I will vote NO on the MPP

ok, so I will do something that I don't do very often and it really hurts me to do this, I will go against my party.
So the vote on the MPP have just been started, my inital reaction was that of joy, considering that it seems like a pritty good deal for South Korea. Just before clicking "YES" I decided to look up the link that led to the Russian forum. What I read suprised me.

If I can get 100 Gold to you for the Russian side of the MPP can you put up the proposal and get it voted through your side? I can get enough people here in Congress now to vote it through.

I don't know, maybe its just me overreacting, I haven't been in Korea for that long and maybe politics is run here in this way, but isn't Elgrand stepping out of line here?
Let's start with,

Isn't that mixing our internal politics with the international one's? If you want SK to become another puppet state in Asia, this sets us on the right track. An ambassador should represent us and our interests, but here it seems like its the other way around.

ok, maybe I'm wrong about this one (no sarcasm) but I that getting this MPP had a purpose of:
1. Secure our borders
2. get into war games
But from this message it seems that we are "joining the Russian bloc". I'm not sure If that is really what I am standing for at this time.
Again, maybe this is how the politisc is done here, I'm still kind of new, but if this is the direction that we are taking then very soon the future of Korea may be decided not in Seoul but in Moscow.

Vote YES to an MPP that costs the country no gold and secures our borders and provides FREE Wargames.
Why would Brolliance or EDEN attack us?
To get at the soft underbelly of the Phoenix wargames by storming through us and attacking the two eNK regions.
The Russians will do all in their power to stop this happening as well as the other 20+ nations involved in the games.
If we make ourselves useful then we will get powerful friends to help us. If we close our eyes and hope for the best we will soon have events overtake us.

What you failed to see were the posts from eUSA/Bro that were discussing moving through eSK.

I have been negotiating this for nearly a month with constant updates to the CP, Congress and citizenry.
I have secured a FREE MPP with access to the Russian wargames for FREE. The next, very expensive, eNK attack on eRussian FER is about to happen in order to activate the MPPs for the wargames as anyone with any hand in international affairs would know and that is why we need to sign this right now.
Also the Russians will then be able to protect us from this:

but i suppose elgrand likes to lie and say this is a US vs Russia issue when this is really just a matter of us being rushed and an mpp that will ruin our neutrality.

A theory which is as much of a fantasy as it is illogical, any move through eSK would take days to accomplish and cost much more for any eUSA attack to succeed.
Elgrands words go in one ear and out the other now. Any dang thing that counters his POV is automatically hate for eSK.

If every RL American here had that much of an interest in the eUS, then do you not believe they would've lived, worked, chatted there and not waste time in this insignificant burg (and no I don't think we are an insignificant burg, I am putting myself in the shoes of an ardent eUS player).

The 'No' camp remains silent on this particular unprofessional and disgraceful breach of due process.
Krzych32 just to be clear - this issue is not so much a party issue. Various active members within SC798 are just as much as for it as well as against it.
As for myself, my thing is, merits of the issue aside for a second, we have not been given enough time to truly discuss this issue as I would like. I was in favor of this MPP, but not to the extent of compromising our political system. Thus I have voted NO on procedural grounds.
Elgrands link is a statement by an EDEN player from eGreece, not from a player from the eUS or any other Brolliance country. Also, with the recent threats from Poland on eUS security, I doubt we are very much inclined to help them into Asia at all.
