Why communism is bad.
I. Communism can't work in eRepublik.
Communism is doomed to fail. How on earth will the communist government control the market? People have to buy with gold to set up companies and get their factories working, buy money etc., how will the government control the media?
Well even if they can do all this...
II. Communism leads to corruption.
"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
This is a quote from the famous book called Animal farm. If you don't know it, here a very short summary.
There is a farm somewhere in England. On the farm, all the animals have to work hard. At some point they can't take it anymore, and hunt the farmer and his men away. All the animals agree, that from this point they will control the farm together. They all agree though, that the pigs take the lead, because they were the most smart of all the animals. One of the rules the animals all agree on, is the rule, "all animals are equal,".
For a while it goes great, but then the pigs find out the power they can abuse. They are the only animals that can write and have a very good memory. Through that the pigs change all the rules and life above all the others. On the end of the book, the pigs are not better than men at all.
What I am trying to say with this, is that communism always leads to corruption. The government can show whatever they want, can product whatever they want, they can even do whatever they want. The people (animals) don't have any power.. The leaders (pigs) get richer and richer and become liberals (men) themselves.
In eRepublik, at one point (if the commies get what they want), the communist party will be the biggest and have the total power in both congress and president seats, and can do whatever they want. Illegal donations, wars etc.
III. All extreme ideologies are bad, communism is not excluded.
As we could see in RL history, communist countries were wrong. The most extreme example is Stalin Russia (yes, Stalinsm is a kind of communism). Like I said, all extreme ideologies are bad, fascism, national-socialism, Nazism and communism. This also counts in eRepublik. Maybe our babies won't get food, maybe our leaders get us out of PHX or get us all unemployed.
Conclusion.
I think I gave enough reasons why people should not support any communist, fascist etc. party in their country. And why on earth would a liberal center party like the IP want to work with them in a coalition? Same goes for LSD. Are they socialists now? I thought they were social democrats, like PvdA IRL.
I'm asking you (LSD+IP) the same question as many people in the Netherlands are asking the CDA IRL, can you work together with a party which ideals are very very wrong? Extreme?
I hope not.
Some of you might noticed I am still in GLD, I am ingame in GLD but after the CP elections I will move to a fair and trustworthy party named I&W.

your argumentation fails. there is not a single proper reason WHY communism is bad.
simply saying its extreme wont do it.
whether one opinion is extremist or not is highly subjective and i doubt you know what communism really means.
saying it failed rl it will fail here again is also very ignorant - the states you are referring to (soviet union etc) werent communist.
its also stupid to say it failed once it will fail forever - there are many examples of states where democracy failed and still people believe in democracy (thankfully!)
communism is also not an enemy of democracy. in fact marx said from the very beginning that democracy is an essential part of a socialist state.
oh and btw orwell was a communist/socialist himself. he was just an enemy of stalinism and totalitarism.

i didnt say it is extreme and it's bad because of that. everyone knows its extreme. i'm just saying that ALL extreme ideals are bad... with some other examples like fascism.
and stalinsm is in fact a kind of communism... One of the many. Other onces would be like Marxism and Leninism.

Marxism-Leninism is what is commonly called communism, not stalinism.

There is NO communist party in RL Netherlands because we are smart enough to know it doesnt work. The communist party in eNL is 99% made of foreigners with a few Dutch guys that are really confused.
Yes Derkk i know what you will say: The NL has a Communist party in RL and yes it is in two backward small towns somewhere in the middle of nowhere. And in those two towns they have 1 or 2 people on the council. Great news for you but not relevant when you consider NL has 17 million people. So it can easily be ignored.
Communism is a failed project. Name me one succesful country that is completly communist. So that doesnt include China, Vietname etc because they are more capitalist then most western nations.

communism in RL sucks ass, but in erep our country is already quite communistic, 1 party already is the predominant ruler of our country (9 out of the 10 times it is in the government and/or delivers the president), and has most (if not almost all) influence in the economy, the rest are state-companies. So effectively we are a socialistic democracy with authoritarian traits, which sounds pretty communistic to me.
