Why Can't We All Just Get Along?

Day 1,111, 04:57 Published in New Zealand Turkey by Manny Calavera

For the better part of a year I have played this game. I spent most of my time in the eUK where politics and people that have played from the beginning made it very difficult to get involved with the inner workings of eRep based on internal disputes, favoritism, etc. I left for a while and came back to find that my RL country of eNew Zealand was on the map and within minutes I had emailed the CP and moved here. I can honestly say that I am not happy with what I have seen so far.

My point is this, eNZ is a new country and many of us have played for so long in other countries that there may still be allegiances to those countries. I hope most of you moved to get away from the drag of political infighting and other people’s personal agendas. If this applies to you then you are creating the same environment that many of us came here to get away from. I implore you to not go down the same road that I saw before. Many good people left because they were just tired of all of the infighting. The results were almost as devastating as a nuclear bomb.

I have only been in eNZ for about a week, but what I have seen since I have arrived is almost as bad. The only way that we can accomplish anything as a nation is to band together and put aside our petty differences. I am a RL Kiwi and I only know of 4 or 5 others and I am hoping that there are more out there. I came here to effectively start over and get away from the political nonsense of other countries, not to be dragged back in again.

Expatriate agendas should be left at the door when you request new citizenship or why bother? This is a fledgling nation with the ability to make an impact at an early age. I have looked at a number of citizens within the populace of eNZ and there is a great deal of experience here. I feel that if we can put aside the bull%$#! and work together the results could be phenomenal.

I know I haven't been here long but I have read a lot of media since I arrived. I see that at this point Congress is split, and that the different political parties are not seeing eye to eye. Cries of PTO echo in my mind and it is frustrating. It seems that with so many individual perspectives and ideas that this game is inundated with propaganda. There has to be a solution! I propose that those of you in positions of power i.e. CP, congress, get together and figure out WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

Thanks for reading.
