Why Attacking the Entente Is a Danger to Canada

Day 772, 23:20 Published in Canada Switzerland by HuCard

Although I can easily guess how many of you are already tired of me constantly condemning the Spanish attack on France, it seems that many are not aware what severe threat this poses to Canada's safety.

In the west, we are merely bordered by the USA in the form of Alaska. It could be invaded by the Russians, but it would be a very tough nut to crack and not a very likely way to be attacked.
Our weak point is our eastern coast. Newfoundland borders the British regions of Scotland, Wales, and South-West of England, as well as three Irish regions. Meanwhile, Nova Scotia and Delaware are adjacent to the French regions of Brittany and Pays de la Loire.

I assume it will be safe to guess that Ireland does not and will never present a danger to us. The United Kingdom alone lacks the power to actually invade us, as does France, although this does not mean that either is to be underestimated. However as history has shown, Hungary and other Phoenix states could simply use these countries as bridges to reach our dear homeland.

If Hungary was to try and set foot to North America again, it would have the choice between six possible routes.

1) Austria -> Italy -> France -> Canada
2) Austria -> Germany -> France -> Canada
3) Slovakia -> Czech Republic -> Germany -> France -> Canada
4) Austria -> Germany -> Sweden -> United Kingdom -> Canada
5) Slovakia -> Czech Republic -> Germany -> Sweden -> United Kingdom -> Canada
6) Austria -> Germany -> Sweden -> United Kingdom -> Canada

Unless they took the lengthy detour through Slovakia and the Czech Republic which would prove costly and impractical, they would inevitable have to cross through Austria. Since going through Germany would also mess up their MPPs, it's not unlikely that they would rather opt for the route through Italy and France.

France, Italy, and probably Austria as well soon are along with the Ukraine all part of the Entente Cordiale. They would not tolerate any violation of their sovereignty by any faction and fiercely resist Hungarian attempts to pass through their land, and would in such cases probably be willing to ally with EDEN states willing to help them.
However, thanks to Spain's actions, the entire alliance is cornered further and further and might ultimately have to rely on the aid of Phoenix. We would be lucky if none of them joined Phoenix entirely, but even if they do not they would still be indebted to their liberators and might see themselves forced to comply to a request of Hungary to grant it passage.

Further, if Sweden and Poland continue to wage war against and succeed in fully conquering Germany, Hungary would not even have to pass through French and Italian territory and could march right through occupied Germany to the UK without having to worry about its MPPs.

It should be obvious by now that to ensure our safety it is vital that we maintain good relations with the Entente Cordiale. Thus, Spain's unrighteous invasion of France is not merely unjust but a threat to Canada itself. If not to all of EDEN, since if the entire Entente was to side with Phoenix it would cause the balance in the eWorld to collapse in favour of our enemies.
