Where's the strategy? a question from a newbee

As a Newbee to this game I have to say that I’m lacking a bit of guidens in eSweden today. Not to how I should build up my land, grow my wealth etc. But for the strategic part. I started some 20 days ago and since then I’ve been trying to rapidly learn the game and also to take part in the fighting. I’ll be the first to acknowledge that my strength isn’t the highest and I probably won’t be the one winning a war for eSweden anytime soon but I try to help.

Since I started there have been a few battles against Finland, Russia and now China. But it seems to me that there is no one who’s directing our forces on what to do. Is there a real strategy behind what we’re doing or not. If you’re like me, not part of the Swedish military. You don’t get any news and when you get them it’s to late. I know that I probably should be a part of the military but at this point I’m not and therefore I get no guidance until after the fighting is done and I read about it in the news. Which is fine I guess if my small powers is not of any use to any strategy and therefore might as well be thrown away randomly for my pleasure.
It’s also fine if I’m the only one doing this. But if I’m just one of a couple of hundred doing the same thing then we’re just wasting a hell of a lot of fighting power on hitting random targets.

I’m not sure if we would have stood a chance in Lappland against China even if we were coordinated but it probably wouldn’t have been any worse than it was.
Today we have a battle going on in southern Finland! Should I waste my striking power in this battle or are we giving that part up to defend some other region or even planning another strike against china?
Please Valand, Bic DeWill or any other person drawing up the big picture give us a small sample of the plan or direct me to where I can get that information.
