SURPRISE!

I can write things not dealing with clowngress!

I have proposed to congress the formation of a Ministry of Immigration (MoImm). The purpose of this ministry will be to screen citizenship requests to help decrease the threat of PTO's. Another part of this Ministry I hope to see come to fruition is its ability to help promote eCanada abroad to increase immigration, safety in numbers and all that.

The bare bones layout for this ministry that I have cobbled together after some conversation with some of the erepublik old timers, I think the best way to approach such a ministry will be to have it be a committee of five congressmen. One of which will be chair and elected by congress each month. These five will debate citizenship requests and be the final say in approvals.

However, a congressional ministry needs for to it than this. Therefore I need my fellow members of congress to head to the forums and help lend some structure to this bad boy before we present it for voting.

You cant legislate enthusiasm and interest which this type of position will require so unless you want to just start screening applicants and posting them as recommendations for Congress approval, get the CP to appoint you a Minister, then get the next CP to apoint you and so on....

itll never work left in the hands of a Congress committee that would change every single month.

Ya, the whole promotion of eCanada was more an afterthought. As for the appointment of a Minister, I'm still in talks about that.

its a good idea but we have to figure out what we have or offer that others dont

you also have to consider if you do it aggressively how that might affect our relations with our allies since that is where we will probably look for immigrants, if the US was aggressively scouting out top eCanadians how would we feel?

unless people start advertising eCanada on facebook, twitter and other outlets I dont see us gaining many new eCanadians, but who wants to admit playing this game to friends ; )
