What does it mean to be a black sheep?

Ask yourself, what does it really mean to be a black sheep in this world and in this eworld of erepublik?

I believe too many people have distorted the meaning behind the black sheep and it skews the opinion of us or any others that are outside the flock. Of course, the whole idea behind the black sheep is metaphorical for those that lie outside of what would be considered the 'norm' and in the case of erepublik the political 'norm'. But I believe this idea is a contorted picture of what it really means to be a black sheep. At least that it is too vague to truly help one understand what means, because it's more than just being 'different'.

Here is a picture of a black sheep among its fellow sheep, but is it really a black sheep or is it one in disguise of being one to play off the 'different' aspect for their own personal gain. Now, this black sheep most likely isn't pretending to be a black sheep for physical gains or power. They are, in the heart of it, narcissistic and egotistical psychopaths, that masquerade as a black sheep, though that isn't the name they call themselves, it is the plot they have conceived to draw attention to themselves.

Now, you might ask yourself, why does it sound like he is bashing his own party? Is he saying that the Black Sheep Party means to be narcissistic and egotistical? The answer is no. The people I explained are the hypocrites and the attention seekers that you see very often nowadays in this game and in the world.

The real answer lies in this picture below:

This is what it means to be a black sheep. It's not about being different and about trying to separate yourself from one another. It's not about being different for the sake of being different.

It's about being yourself, thinking for yourself, and being able to share that with others around you if that is what you fancy. It's about doing what fancies you. And the best part about it is that there are plenty of shades of sheep that fancy things their own way and in this society that's okay.

Instead of imagining that there is only a herd of white sheep and then a few black sheep outliers that herd their own, imagine a wide sprawling herd of all shades of colors as far as the eye can see. This is what being a real black sheep really means. It's not being different. It's about being yourself and being allowed to think for yourself without the gaze of those false black sheep.
