What is the Point?

So this work tax seems like it is specifically designed to screw over countries like eCanada.

Now I make less than a dollar a day, so I am completely reliant on MU or PP charity to find the money to travel to complete DOs. I assume I am not the only one in this position. How exactly are we to build up experience, rank, and resources to fight for eCanada if this Plato character keeps removing our tools to do it?

I am not willing to ask my MU to continuously subsidizing me. I think MU subsidization should be a stop gap until you get large enough to not only be self-sufficient but to pay it forward. With this new work tax think that goal is almost impossible.

So I have to ask, what is the point? What is the point of this game if it is impossible to make progress for yourself or your country?

I really hate to do this, but I think I am going to go give this a shot in the eUS and see if its any better. If not, I may die off as a citizen of eRepublic

US has the same taxes because they have no Congress to adjust the tax either. Some people are moving to Turkey where the tax is 1%.

Suffering builds character : ) and people enjoy helping each other out - it builds community. Don't let Plato define success for you. Find ways to enjoy the game and the community regardless of circumstance. The numbers and pixels don't really matter unless you let them. Don't go to the eUSA whatever you do. Why be a nobody down there when you can be a somebody up here?

After playing for 4.5 years, it was never the game itself that kept me playing, but the eCanadian community.
