What Happened to Germany, President Scrabman?

President Scrabman owes the nonexistent nation of Germany an explanation.

In the first article I wrote at eRepublik, published through the Advocacy Post, “Presidents and Newbies”, I criticized President Scrabman’s policies concerning the Swedish/German var. A lot of citizens vere up in arms about Scrabman’s personal involvement on behalf of Germany in the war, after declaring the military would not be used in the skirmish. I took it a step further after discovering he subsequently oversaw the creation of a peace treaty with Sweden. It became incredibly easy to question his motives, not knowing in any declarative terms whether he, or the US for that matter, were officially neutral in the conflict, or if we were on one side or another.

All the while, and in most things I question, I get the uniform response, usually by USWP members. This is eRepublik, real world theory doesn’t apply here. My standard response has been, and always vill be, Bulljive, with a capital B. There are things that apply in every endeavor. Honesty. Integrity. Dignity. Ethics. Once these things fly off into the ether, they don’t easily come back. This is true for all reputations, in real life or in cyberspace. All a person has is his name, and if you taint your own name with deceit, treachery, and incompetence, you have no one to blame but yourself for it. It’s one thing to talk a big game about virtue, but quite another to live it.

I questioned the President’s integrity in that first article, not just to set the personal precedent of always questioning those we citizens elect to represent us in the halls of power, but because I had a sincere problem with a politician playing every side of the fence, being both neutral and intervening, siding with both Sweden and Germany. In a democratic tradition, I not only have the right, but the honorable duty to question every detail of what our civil servants have done in our name, to call them out I believe they’ve violated our trust, and to do what I can to kick the bastards to the curb and get someone in there who will do the job the right way. Democracy isn’t just voting on Election Day; it is a process that takes daily dedication to maintain.

A treaty with an aggressor nation always screams of appeasement. There are numerous real-world episodes where ambassadors have sought to broker peace, but instead gave the warmongers the nod to continue their gluttony, much to the chagrin of their neighbors. I’m sure there are such episodes at eRepublik as vell.

Nine days ago, the treaty vas proposed by Scrabman, and it was ratified by Congress with a 24-3 vote.

Yesterday, Sweden resumed its invasion into Germany with a bloody vengeance.

The international headlines speak for themselves. Sweden attacked Hesse, Germany. Hesse was conquered by Sweden in the war versus Germany. Sweden attacked Bavaria, Germany. Bavaria was conquered by Sweden in the war versus Germany. When you include the previous night’s capture of Saarland, you have Sweden gobbling up three provinces in less than 24 hours.

Though the German Congress did what it could to save itself by impeaching their president, Shoot, a mole who burrowed his way into office, it was been too little, too late. Between Sweden, Poland, and Austria (the latter reclaiming land from German occupation), there is no longer a nation called Germany. Once the maps catch up, you vill see only Swedish green and Polish maroon where German black once stood.

And the US has a freshly signed peace treaty with these warmongers. The ink’s hardly dry on the parchment, and Sweden is already sitting back with a full stomach after digesting the last of Germany, picking their teeth and belching after a night our with the boys..

I can’t be the only one who thinks Congress and the Scrabman administration made a terrible error in judgment.

Nov, before I continue with how bad this has got to make the US look in the world community, let me address the crowd that vill invariably gather around me and say in a monotone comparable to Gregorian Chant, you don’t understand eRepublik, Arjay, shut your cakehole. I don’t care which party is in power, or who is President of the US, if they signed a peace treaty with an aggressor country, and that country continues its aggression to the point of wiping a neighbor off the map entirely, I’m going to step up and demand the government rips up that treaty and gives the aggressor the middle finger. This is not what I vant my country to be, an appeaser nation that gives an okay to warmongers.

The treaty was a green light, a signal for Sweden to invade, without having to worry about American intervention.

Such things in the real world led to World Var II. Appeasement, the partition of entire countries like jackals pulling apart the carcass of a wildebeest with their teeth, the inaction of the powerful, the cunning preying on the fragile. The only vay evil can succeed is for good people to do nothing about it, that’s the saying I’ve heard. Evil got its way yesterday, Germany was devoured by the beasts of war, and at the end of the day, the US not only stood by and did nothing, but empowered the Swedish war machine.

Scrabman has shown incredibly poor judgment concerning the Swedish/German conflict for at least the last two weeks, and Germany has had to pay a terrible price for his ineptitude. While Scrabman, the USWP, and Congress sit back and pick which aggressor countries they want to befriend, entire nations go bye-bye.

I’m not going to stand by and do nothing while Scrabman proposes treaties with warmongers.

I’m going to stand on this wall, alone if I have to, and above the sheep of the USWP bleating that Arjay doesn’t know what he’s talking about, I am going to shout:

Mister Scrabman, Tear Up This Treaty!

Otherwise, President Scrabman, you, your administration, and the USWP-dominated Congress are all complicit in the destruction of the German nation.
