Day 3,044, 14:27 Published in Iran Cuba by Saint Arya Stark

The spring has come, the trees are beginning to blossom, and a green carpet soon will flourish all over the land, sound of birds will be heard and in the meantime somewhere in middle east people are celebrating the nature rejuvenating and they call it a new YEAR!

Happy new year my friends! As now we in Iran are celebrating Nowruz!

The first day on the Iranian calendar falls on the March equinox, the first day of spring, around 20 March. At the time of the equinox, the sun is observed to be directly over the equator, and the north and south poles of the Earth lie along the solar terminator; sunlight is evenly divided between the north and south hemispheres.
The UN's General Assembly in 2010 recognized the International Day of Nowruz, describing it as a spring festival of Persian origin which has been celebrated for over 3,000 years

The celebration has its roots in Ancient Iran.
Today Nowruz is celebrated in Iran, Afghanistan, Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and between all Kurds in Syria, Iraq and Turkey, all Parsis in India and some parts of Mongolia and China.

Before the year change all Iranian people clean every single stuff in their house and wash away all dirts from their living place. They ask for forgiveness from each other for any heartbreaking they intentionally or unintentionally did during the year.

In Iran, on the day of year change, families gather together, around the 7 symbols showing wealth, exhilaration in life, health, sweetness of life, purity and so on, and wait for the moment of the year change to kiss and congratulate each other.

On the day of new year we serve a special dish, A traditional New Year's Day meal of rice with green herbs served with fish. The traditional seasonings for Sabzi Polo are parsley, coriander greens (cilantro), chives, dill herb, and fenugreek greens. The many green herbs in this dish are said to represent the greenness of Spring. And during holidays young people go visiting older relatives in a sign of respect.

The number of national holidays during the new year, Nowruz, varies in different countries but in Iran is 13 days for schools and universities and 5 days for other governmental jobs, including 4 first days of new year and 13th.

On the day of 13th we go camping in heart of nature .This is a day of festivity in the open, often accompanied by music and dancing, usually at family picnics.

We wish you great moments, no matter if it is new year or not, which calendar is more accurate, or which day is better for announcing a new year.
Every single day can be a new year!
It’s a matter of will my friends 🙂

It’s been said that in beginning of a new year your wishes will come true, we are really sad for suicide bombing recently happened in Turkey. I, on behalf of my people, at this very moment, just wish humankind a year that all wars, bloodshed, terrorism, racism and such kind of troubles vanishes into thin air.

Amen
