What a shocking day!

Ok, today I was greeted with a rather large surprise. Firstly I'd like to apologise to everybody who works at my companies... I kinda ran out of cash! It's fixed now and there should be no problems working tomorrow. Once again I apologise unreservedly. Any way now to the brunt of the article, apparently Wales is meant to be sacrificed to Ireland! Now I'll admit that I probably know as much about tactics as the Major-General from The Pirates of Penzance, but even then I did think that the point was to retain land! If anybody can correct me on this go ahead but I can't help but feel that it is a bad move. I'm also shocked that the UK Special forces are supposed to be involved in it! Anyway, so far I'm not really enjoying the new president's term and look forward to the next election!

trust me,i am looking forward to the next elections too 😛
anyway i believe james is right,we shouldent give land away for any reason, even if it means war!
Nice to know I'm not the only one seeing false logic in these tactics!
maybe artela has a very good reason, but i doubt it
like you said,its false logic...
Brazil and the USA don't surpport the war. They are the allies of both us and Ireland. Our president and others don't want war with either of them and so thought (I think) if Ireland attacks us first prehaps they will see them in the wrong and break alliance with them instead of us so they attack themselves by moving to Ireland and their allied countries. I really don't get why they didn't contact you Nikos as a leader of a military unit we may be small but surely we don't count for nothing plus it would have been nice to be warned not to try to defend a country against our own and still I do not like the loss of Wales it feels like betrayal against our own citizens which has to be the worst kind especially if people stay there. np James about the work.
It's been typed out before, but I'll do it again 🙂
When the UK proposed Ireland as its Natural Enemy (the proposal which just recently failed) Ireland counterproposed with a NE law of their own against us they then proceeded to sign Mutual Protection Pacts (MPP) with the US and Brazil, which both the Brazilians and Americans agreed to. Since the United Kingdom also holds MPPs with the US and Brazil a 'MPP Clash' was about to occur with the 'aggressor' (the one who attacks first) losing both MPPs. Seeing this, and knowing that the UK would be forced to attack first because we had proposed the NE law first, Congress voted it down at the last moment, but, only after Ireland had reached the threshold where their own NE law was sure to pass. When Ireland's NE law had past, they were given 24 hours to attack the UK. But, their MPPs where still being voted on so their first attack on Wales did not trigger the 'MPP Clash' which would lose them their MPPs. Therefore, the NEXT battle after Wales would be the battle which triggers the MPP clash with the aggressor losing both. So, Ireland had to WIN in Wales so it could attack again and lose its MPPs, else we would have.
The reason this is important is because there are lots of players from both the US and Brazil who just fight in open battle they find (rather than reading MoD orders and fighting in specific battles) and with Ireland having 2 extra (and strong) MPPs and the UK having 2 less, the difference in damage from just people fighting randomly might make a considerable difference over the course of a war.
Hope this helps explain it a bit better. 🙂
Thanks for explaining it to me, still a little annoyed at the loss of Wales but *shrugs* as long as we get it back... Could have done with better communication though! At the least a PM would have been nice...
i supose the reason is good
