This week we bring an abbreviated edition regarding the many election goings-on in We The People. Country President elections are tomorrow and we encourage all of our readers to make sure to cast their votes.

CP primary results & endorsement

After a 48 hour nomination period, Aramec and Tyler Bubblar stood as the two candidates in We The People’s Country President Primary. Unfortunately, Gnilraps was not put on the ballot because he wasn’t seeking reelection at the time of Nominations. However, he did announce candidacy while our primaries were going on. It’s always an unfortunate time when all candidates can’t get on our ballot, but neverless, we wish him the best of luck.

After 48 hours of primary voting, Tyler Bubblar emerged as the winner of the closely contested election and We The People happily endorse him to be the next President of the eUnited States.
In addition to being a multi-term Party President of the Federalists, Tyler has experience as Chief of Staff and in the State Department under Wild Owl and is perhaps best known for his work in the Department of Homeland Security where he helped oversee the final demise of the American Freedom Alliance as a threat to the Top 5 parties. We The People and the Federalists had a history as adversaries in Tyler’s early terms as PP, but that has since evolved into a mutual admiration as Tyler has worked more on the national stage. We The People also owe some thanks to Tyler for his assistance in the recent ATO action where he attempted to talk down Valiant Thor and was crucial in diagnosing the gravity of his threats.

PP primary voting

Due to the events of the past month, We The People have taken to the polls early to vote on our next Party President. During the 48 hour nomination period, both dmjohnston and Disco Musolini received the requisite number of nominations to secure a place on the ballot. However, Disco declined his nomination this month, electing to not be on the ballot. dmjohnston has published a campaign article and made himself available for questions on the WTP Board of the eUSA Forum.

Voting will be held from 2100 eRT on Day 2327 until 2100 eRT on Day 2329. Voting is open to party members in good standing over level 24. Those who are under level 24, but have done party work or are IRC active may request eligibility VOTE HERE.



On the game

As March turns to April, the game and (hopefully) the weather will start to heat up. Activity will likely increase in the coming weeks and months, as it so often does. The game has limped through another winter. Smaller perhaps, weaker it would seem, but still possessing a bit of life. Whether a grizzled vet or bright-eyed newblet, we are all drawn here for a reason, we all continue to log in, click our clicks, check the forums and IRC, wash, rinse, repeat.

Remember this is a game, remember that you want to enjoy some aspect of it. Don't burn yourself out, don't over commit. Whether your real life is high school, college, unemployment, or the monotony of a 9 to 5 (raises hand), embrace the things you love about this game and make this a positive experience. Tailor it to you, share it with others, don't feel shame. I'm an Irish Catholic, if I can manage to beat back the shame monsters, than so can you!
